As students, what is your personal opinion about the education system of the Philippines?

Personally, there are a lot of things na kailangan pa natin maimprove when it comes to the education system, especially in this generation where critical thinking is much important than we think it is sometimes. Sobrang malala na ang educational crisis dito sa Pilipinas, and I think its a worthy subject to talk about. Since hindi mo lang ito makikita sa report, in real life may maeencounter ka talaga. Some students are lacking behind in 3-5 years than what they are expected to know for their grade, and that is very alarming. If you remember a report last year about 19.1M graduates being functionally illiterate, this is somehow another reflection of our crumbling system.

Don't even get me started on the various systems that act as obstacles when it comes to this subject. Can a child go to school hungry? How will they learn anything? Floods and earthquakes that disrupt learning every single time it strikes, the way that this system teaches students not to learn, but to just memorize it and move on. The lack of materials and resources hindi lang sa mga estudyante, pati na ang mga educators. A lot of students don't practice real-life application, or they never understood it at all. What's sad is that, we can't even blame them kasi ganon na ang reality natin every single day of our student lives.

Tapos kapag graduated na, magttrabaho ang iba sa mga low minimum-wage earning jobs that don't sustain them to the point that some chose to drop out early para mas maaga sila sa career nila, because some people see it as a waste of time dahil sa sobrang mahal na rin ng mga bilihin dito. Students sacrifice so much for this system yet the system does not give what we deserve most of the time.

It makes me sad on how behind and outdated this system is. Everyone deserves a right to have an education, a good one at that. Pero tinalo tayo ng sistema. Countless changes have been made to this same system yet they forget about the curriculum. All of this just proves that education is the most important thing a person can have. The more you know, the more you realize. You get that awareness that while you are choosing your own future, the nation also puts its future in your hands.

Ayun lang muna ang masasabi ko, since I know there are a lot more points to be made on this topic by a lot more people, and sana we can all share our opinions on this. I hope everyone has had a good day, let us become more aware and vigilant since tayo nga ang sinasabing mga pag-asa ng bayan.

People being late all the time is a sign of disrespect.

Growing up, I was always taught that being on time was a sign of respect towards someone's time and efforts to be there with you. A lot of the times, I actually showed up 5-10 minutes before the actual meeting because I was paranoid that I was the one running late. Adding on, I also grew up in a culture where a lot of the times it was deemed as normal to be late for an event. Let's say you have a meeting at 2pm, they somehow all show up at 4pm which is so weird to me.

Moving on, that's why I genuinely think being late constantly with very shallow reasons is a disrespect for a persons time and schedule. Of course, being late once or twice is understandable, and if there were unforseen circumstances, its alright. But, when you make that thing your whole quirk, I don't think it's something to be proud of. Especially when the person you agreed to meet with shows up 2-3 hrs after the original schedule, 5-10 minutes is a grace period for me personally.

People have other things to do, and agreeing on a time is definitely not one sided, so why appear so late when it's been planned? Punctuality is a value.

Would like to know how you guys think of this.

For players that have played roblox since its early times (or prime), what was/is your favorite game?

Mine is definitely flood escape and that one waterpark. Work at a Pizza Place was also PEAK, loved burning down the kitchen everytime. (played since 2014-2015)

Do you regret anything? If so, have you learned anything from it?

Just wanted to reflect on some things at 2am, maybe this can also be the time to indulge myself in learning things. Life has been been pretty tough, sometimes I don't see the light in bad events in my life, including the things that I regret doing. So now, I want to get more wisdom from people that have eventually learned more because of their past regrets. Who knows? Maybe we could all unleash something new in ourselves. LOL😭

Thank you in advance for sharing anything in this discussion, as I also understand that this question may come as a very personal and vulnurable thing to ask for.

Is it just me?

Everytime I enter in roblox games that have some sort of trading system in simulator games or somewhat, I have always been lucky to have atleast one person give me pretty good items or pets that boosts my gameplay instantly, sometimes they even introduce me to the game themselves lol. Since then, I have wondered if a lot of people come across the same kind of people. Would like to know your thoughts on it!
