Still have back pain 5 mo PP

Anyone else?

C-section with decently rough recovery. I'm doing very modified pilates once a week with an instructor (helps so much). But the rest of the week my back gets so sore and tender.

When does it get better? Does it get better?

SAHP and respite caregiver advice

Hello!

We had our first baby and she is almost 5mo. Pregnancy and immediate postpartum were so difficult on both of us and where we are currently located we have zero support.

So I finally pulled the trigger and decided to get a very part-time sitter for 6-8hrs a week.

We interviewed, discussed pay, ect all the things. But HOW do you act around baby when you are still planning on staying home while sitter watches baby?

Sitter knows I plan on staying home MOST of the time when she's there and this is for respite, and was definitely okay with the setup.

Should I just try to avoid them as much as possible? Like pretend mom doesn't exist unless it's an emergency?

Baby is starting to get SUPER mom-clingy (which is totally fine but she catches on so quickly when I'm not in the room). Hand-off to sitter and tell her she's 100% in charge unless she messages me for help?? Or do I interject after maybe 10 min of crying? Or something else?

Anyone else done this? What worked out best for you?

I'm hoping to get organizing done, chores, rest (maybe even nap), some errands. I also planned for sitter to take baby on stroller walks when nice out.
