I’ve just completed both my BA and Master’s in the English Department at the University of Dhaka. My BA CGPA is 2.61, and I’m fairly certain my Master’s result will be similar.

Honestly, I feel really discouraged and stuck thinking about my academic record. I keep wondering if I’ve already limited my future because of these results.

I see others doing much better and it makes me question whether I’ll be able to get decent opportunities in jobs or further studies. Right now, it feels like this one part of my academic life might define everything else.

I know life isn’t only about grades, but I’m struggling to believe that right now. Has anyone been in a similar situation and still managed to build a stable career or move forward?

Please don’t judge me.

I’ve struggled with insecurity since childhood, and it’s affecting me a lot in my relationship. I love my boyfriend deeply, but I often feel insecure about myself and his family’s perception of me.

He is not doing very well career-wise, and his family isn’t very educated. Still, I genuinely love him and want to be accepted by his family. I’ve always wanted a soft, loving life with a caring husband and family.

I’ve worked hard academically — I completed my graduation and postgraduation from one of Bangladesh’s top public universities, and I’ll be starting barrister training next year.

But I keep comparing myself to his ex, who was a doctor and very close to his family, and I feel like I may never measure up or be accepted in the same way.

I love him, but these thoughts make me feel inadequate. Has anyone dealt with this kind of insecurity or comparison? How do you cope?

Is my life over after getting a 2.61 in BA and a similar result in Master’s?

For those who had their first relationship around 25 or later, especially if you had never been in one before, how did it feel? Did you ever feel ‘late’ compared to people who started dating younger? And if your partner had more relationship experience than you, did that affect how you felt in the relationship or make you feel behind in life at all?

Does anyone here believe in manifestation—like the law of the universe, prayer, frequency, vibration, and alignment? What’s been your experience?

What should you do if your partner isn’t successful in his career, doesn’t seem to try much, stays home all the time, and lives a very sedentary lifestyle? My parents don’t like him, and although his family is very wealthy, they aren’t very academically inclined. But I genuinely love him—would you still consider marrying him?
