Hi folks,

I have stayed in Medellín as a single dude. I liked the weather, culture, public infra in Medellín.

Wife and I are looking for places to stay for an extended period of time this fall and winter. 4-6 months. Primarily to escape winter secondly to take advantage of a self sponsored sabbatical. The outer suburbs of Medellín are a contender since I know the place relatively well.

The biggest concern I have is about childcare. We'd like to know the ins and outs of part time child care for a 5 month old. How do you hire one? Are there reputable agencies? What are the charges? What are people's experiences? We'd like the provider to speak in Spanish and don't have much demands other than meet the baby's needs as the primary provider.

I searched the sub and didn't see any posts related to childcare, have my question.

Just learnt about the history and geography of the three guianas- Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.

Curious what people think of the women and culture for PPBs?

There are several reporting apps in the local municipality. The Pune police traffic violations reporting app. The Delhi police municipality app. The Chandigarh municipal channels.

Why isn't someone or a small org that is an app developer, creating a nationwide and international reporting app? The data can then be segmented to relevant authorities.

1st order Fail modes:

1. False reporting.

2. Data storage issues.

3. Investigation resources and ownership challenges.

I am sure I am not the first person with this idea. Curious if attempts have been made and what were the fail modes I am not thinking about.
