Erection is REM Indicator

For beginners who confused to figure rem period

If you wake up in the middle of the night or early morning, with or without an alarm, and you have an erection, it might be a sign that you’re waking up around REM sleep.

If it’s rock solid, I’d take that as a pretty good reason to just roll over, close your eyes, and go straight into your favorite LD method. You literally woke up in the middle of the night don’t waste the free lucid-dreaming opportunity.

Or it’s only semi-hard, things get a little more interesting. You could have just finished a REM period, or you could be getting ready to enter one. Check the time and think about how long you’ve been asleep. That can help you figure out what’s probably going on.

So you randomly wake up in the middle of the night, don’t forget to check.. happy lucid

Does anyone have this kind of crazy hybrid hibiscus varieties

I keep seeing videos from hibiscus shows in the US with these multicolored, ruffled flowers, and they look nothing like the hibiscus we usually get here. Does anyone know where people buy these varieties? Are they available in India, or is importing them the only option? I'd love to start collecting them if there's a way.

How the fuck did I feel pain in a lucid dream?

There's a beehive in my garden. Last week I tried to destroy it, but I got attacked instead. I was stung multiple times, and it hurt like hell. My ego definitely took a hit.

Later I thought, "I'll deal with them in a lucid dream." My plan was to catch the bees and squeeze them with my fingers just to get my revenge.

Last night I became lucid and went straight to the beehive. At first the bees were surprisingly friendly. Then, just to test it, I literally said, "Go ahead, bite me, bitches."

They did.

Holy shit... it hurt just like real life. I could actually feel every sting. I even saw swelling and bumps on my skin in the dream. I screamed and instantly woke up.

Has anyone else ever felt real pain in a lucid dream? I always thought pain would be reduced or nonexistent, but this felt incredibly real.

I'm confused about identifying my peak REM time

My sleep schedule is usually around 11 PM–12 AM, and I naturally wake up around 7:40–8:00 AM.

The confusing part is that I remember dreams at multiple times during the night:

Sometimes I wake up around 3:30–4:00 AM and remember a dream.

Sometimes I wake up around 6:00 AM and remember a different dream.

I also often remember vivid dreams right before my final wake-up around 7:40–8:00 AM.

I've even had a few short DILD lucid dreams around 8:00 AM.

A lot of lucid dreaming advice says to do WBTB after 4–6 hours of sleep, while others say the best time is about 2 hours before your natural wake-up time.

Based on this pattern, which period is most likely my strongest REM window for WILD attempts? Should I target 4 AM, 6 AM, or the 7–8 AM period?

I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience figuring out their personal REM timing.

It was a pendrive (USB).

What’s interesting is how far off most guesses were almost no one even came close. It really shows how our intuition fills gaps with familiar patterns.

I think most people went with the very first impression they got in a split second. A lot of those impressions are actually distractions or random thoughts rather than true intuition. It takes a bit more focus and awareness to notice the difference and really tune into it.

Still, this was a fun experiment. thanks to everyone who participated:)
