Switching Back To Android From Iphone after 2 years

So I have been a long term Android User more specifically Samsung, I had the Galaxy s5, s6 edge, Note 8, Note 9, S21 Ultra, Minor glitch in the system went Iphone 13 Pro Max, actually rocked the Z Fold 5 at the same time as the S23. Then got with this girl that convinced me to get an Iphone once more for facetime lol. I reluctantly went back with the Iphone 15 Pro Max, and I've been there this whole time. TIl switching to the Galaxy Fold 8, and this is a long time Samsung user, coming back home from an Iphone of 2.5 years, and here to give my honest take and truth, pros and cons for anyone also in that sort of dilemma and trying to decide on a new device.

The Look

Pros - it's almost perfect, it has a very bright screen, perfect in your hand, easy to type on, feels like the blackberry I had in 07, It's nostalgic, while still being brand new, it's the best of both worlds.

Cons - it's so short, it's sometimes annoying to do certain things on the phone, for example, I was signing up for something from work, and on my browser using the outer screen I had to scroll down to click acknowledge, and I've done it before on my iPhone and it was just at the bottom of the screen, and I really went ugh at that lol. Icons and things on the screen are so small for it to look clean, so you have to enlarge things so they don't feel too small, where using your finger is annoying to pin point the exact spot that needs to be touched. Editing things in Samsung Music is very annoying, the dotted lines are so small I can't click it easily every time when I want to edit a song, and I just kept hitting the song restarting it over and over and over, got so annoying I was forced to open the screen, and then it hit me.

More Pros - The Inner screen, the outer screen is so nice, you forget the phone can open up to a big ass mini tablet, that makes everything I Just mentioned melt away. No DUH, open the phone and use it and you forget all about that outer screen. Then you start to think about the outer screen it's actually perfection if you use it for things it's meant to be used for. User error won't happen again.

Cons - Inner screen has no cons next

The Feel

Pros - It feels so good in the hands, without a case it's perfect but while being perfect, it's slippery. Not that being slippery is a bad things it adds to the luxury feel, it feels like it's a $2000 device, as it should, but also weights slightly more than my new Galaxy Pro Buds 4 in it's original box. It's so light, it's a breath of fresh air.

Cons - So it is slippery and it will jump out of your hands if you aren't careful, which leads to my most crucial con, it needs a skin or case to safely use and that added bulk can make or break you in whether or not you wanna keep it for another year. First day I used it with the Dbrand Grip Case, and I almost exchanged it that evening, turns out it was the case I hated, I switched to the silicone Samsung Magnet case that I ordered just in case, and OMG, it's my new favorite phone all over again. The case alone made me want to keep the phone, and give it more chances.

The Price - Not gonna sugar coat it $2033 after taxes is a wild thing to say about a phone out loud, I traded in my Iphone 15 Pro Max at AT&T, I got $1900 Trade in Credit, my phone cost me $153 sales tax and I got the new buds for half off at $125, Samsung Case Cost me $80, Grip Case and Prism Screen Protector from Best Buy Cost me about $75 as far as I'm concerned this phone cost me $433 including all accessories and Earbuds. I have no complaints other than Returning to Dbrand and Samsung from the U.S. is a hassle, I wouldn't purchase anything from them ever.

Samsung Vs Apple - It was a hard adjust losing, Tap to Pay with all my cards on it, Imessage with my wife, Find my with my keys, wallet, and dog on it. Apple Carplay is way better than Android Carplay. Don't tell anyone but I kinda miss Face ID as well. Don't get me wrong the fingerprint scanner is awesome, but now you have to have a pattern, pin, or password with your fingerprint scan and it's annoying as hell, I use to just have face unlock and swipe and I was happy with that.

It's an adjustment for sure, but I have officially stuck it out for a week, and it's worth the upgrade, it's worth the move, if the price is right for your situation, it's worth the switch. This phone has been everything I thought it would be, and that's rare for me to say.

I can rock this phone for 12 months for sure, no regrets, the negative things people have been saying, lack of Flex mode, I never used it prior, the cameras, they're more than enough, the speakers are plenty loud, where I use them. It has no true cons other than the screen is too short for some things in stuff that's not optimized for it. I say if you're on the fence, just do it, you're going to love the phone.

Could someone do a demo of playing Pokemon Go or just test it out on the New Fold 8 for me please?

Trying to decide on preordering either the Ultra, or the Wide Fold, and I'm torn, was wondering if someone could play Pokemon go on the outside screen and tell me what it's like or post a demo video, I'd really appreciate it, I looked on youtube and it was one on the wide fold, but it he didn't really give his thoughts on how it felt. I play pokemon go a lot, and how it feels on the phone will really decide it for me.

To Whom It May Concern

  • During raids, you may not be aware of this but as soon as a pokemon does their attack, you can side swipe the screen and avoid as much as 75% of the damage of the attack(my visual guess), point is you won't get one shotted, and you can survive a little longer to get charged attacks off, and overall do more damage, not to mention save yourself revives and potions being used.
  • Also you can't use Primal Kyogre or Groudon for Super Mega Raids, I know they are nice for the candy bonuses and all, but they don't count when it comes to breaking the shield.
  • Breaking the shield makes the shield icon grey in Super Mega Raids, once you get your attack off, if you didn't get it off it stays a rainbow color, you can revive your team and try again as many times as needed, when you revive, you wait for the boss to attack, then tap the screen it will auto drag your mega out, and you can be prepared to break the shield immediately.
  • Don't start Super Mega Raids with your mega in the first slot, there is a chance it can get killed very fast, and make it very difficult to get your shield down, because you will have to wait for your whole party of pokemon to faint before you can revive anything to try to break the shield again. The Last Slot at the bottom right is the safest spot for it.

Another New Fav From Travis

I've ordered multiple times from Travis from DHgate, but I couldn't find this specific rep online, so I sent him a message on his whatsapp and asked for a link to what he has in stock. I found this specific watch on there and told him I wanted it, what size, what movement, and he sent me the price. I paid via Paypal, and I got this in under 3 weeks, bubblewrapped, and in great condition, I removed a couple links and now it fits like a glove! Doesn't feel cheap, the functions all work, all hands work, the date is centered, and the movement is flawless, I went with Miyota, I just prefer the smooth sweep motion. For my needs 10/10

I know people tend to glaze certain sellers, but Travis really has made it very easy to order from and not be disappointed. This one was only $135 with shipping no box, and I don't have enough nice things to say about it. I hope you all give him a try, I highly recommend him!

His Online Store: https://traviswatchdevelop.io/products/u1-datejust-8657

WhatsApp: +86 13751752832 if you wanted to get in contact with him and ask him questions, he's very patient, and a pleasure to work with.

Quick question about AP reps

Since the APS factory was raided, I'm hearing ZF is basically the factory to go to for the best quality AP's at the moment.

My question is, does it matter where you get an AP from the lower tier factories? Are they all just gonna be low quality shitters? Should I even try and get the best possible shitter, or just go to a trusted seller, and just grab a few until I'm really for a higher tier?
