costco is selling eshop gift card packs totaling 200$ of credit for 160$

the online nintendo store lets you use credit for buying physical hardware including the switch 2 and ocarina of times physical

so you can buy 600$ worth of credit for 480$ which would let you get a switch 2 and ocarina of time for less than a regular edition switch 2 by itself

so if you havent yet you can join the 10th generation of video games at a discount

while codie in the first strixhaven was a complete flop outside of obscure commander builds [[Codie, Ravenous Codex]] might be something worth watching

as we saw from [[lucky clover]] the ability to double certain types of spells is powerful and codie just so happens to do that and as 1/4 hes not so easily gotten rid of

codie is slightly more limited than clover being a legendary creature but the ability to double prepared spells could give him a place in standard and he will still be a interesting commander deck to build around thanks to his low cost and wubrg coverage

as for what he will work with in formats like standard im guessing some sort of storm with the red emeritus or a more defensive build with blue and 1/4 helps a little with taking early hits

something else to keep a eye out on is all the new prowess stuff which could cause alot of trouble

people are buying up sphinxes but we know these wont hold so lets look at the latest craze [[Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign]]

a few days ago it was about a dollar as it has little use

now its around 18 because of the buyout

in a week or 2 it will rapidly crash due to the people who bought them out rapidly trying to dump and driving the price lower and lower below 10

a few months from now they will land around 4-5$ and hold as long as it doesent get hit with a lair reprint

so if you bought in and dont get rid of them fast after shipping taxes and fees you might make 2$ per unesh you bought

while most sphinxes are cheap and heavily printed ambassador happened to be a old card never reprinted and has been getting bought up so if you have some sitting around time to dump them to the spec buyers before they flood their copies to tcgplayer and erase its gains

luckily mine are safe

the pokemon center is mass canceling orders suspected to have been made by bots as many are finding that as punishment for ordering with alot of different accounts/internets/emails etc are being traced to the same address or other ways and being obliterated

we can now expect a possible 2nd wave of preorders for the canceled ones which means 30th pokemon center ETBS may return and mass cancelations are going to hit ebays preorders lmfao

also im guessing that the accounts that were canceled will also be blocked from future drops

while we can expect marvel slop to sit and rot we have 4 real magic lairs coming monday so what can we expect

not as much for the art but for the big pile of value this is a supernova at over 180$ in value in foil that obviously wont hold at that level right away but will be worth a ton and still over 50 in nonfoil its a easy sell out

the nonfoil has little value but the foil has some value which wont hold but i think it will do well not sure it will be able to sell out same day

this is the one to watch the value is not big in nonfoil but huge in foil and with the combination of lofi and some of the cards being valuable this will sell out hard and it will be first to go get a early spot or get on ebay

the only slop drop with any hope of selling out is the one with bristly bill which will hose the price of bristly bills and will likely be a trap being printed more heavily than the drops with magic cards

pokemon centers drop today was 7 new puzzles from 100 to 1000 pieces

If your in the UK or Germany you might want to check on your preorders for the pokemon center because hackers and breaking in to the pokemon centers systems and canceling people's orderrs

went to various places today and almost every place had tons of pitch black blisters its like they are burying the set though it will likely dry up with emerald

i find it odd that alot of chaos rising and perfect order also hitting shelves but not spamming older stuff like mega and phantasmal which phantasmal

after bottoming out a few weeks ago some of the singles have been rapidly growing

both aura shards up 20% market but the low is still far above the market showing its on the way up

aggravated assault nonfoil 10% foil 12% market and low is near triple since the bottom was about 12-13

utopia sprawl foil is up 6% market and on the rise though the nonfoil remains untouched

chaos warp has not seen its market grow yet but the foil low is far above which shows its on its way while the nonfoil is stalling

right now foil cats of chaos can still be bought on tcgplayer for 60 while not including the possibility of a 75$ or so serra ascendent is still worth about 80$ for the cats i expect that gap to be closed as people notice

using this excuse that they did it for miku and the high demand for a new mystery booster with new unique cards wizards will likely just for the next festival make it print to demand for 24 hours so they can flood the market with MBC rather than the unique cards becoming expensive just because they are rare

though the backlog will be interesting because it will likely have people waiting past the following 2 festival in a boxes to get theirs going by what we have recently seen

gencon has people getting invites to mystery booster commnder edition drafts so we are about to see alot of cards in the wild

there are 2 things to look for

1 cards from the new group that are currently exclusive and what cards might go up from them

2 big staple reprints that may cause crashes

or at least mess with how it works

amazon has that new auto buy thing so any time that stock appears it will just be auto bought out and we have seen it in action as the spam of stock that always directs you to a big pile of nothing and the a spam of alerts to instantly bought stock

autobuy: its like a bot for everyone except the earlier you activate it the more likely you are to get to buy everything first

a little below 8 years ago at black friday gamestop had a sale that ammounted to basically 75% off pokemon cards if you bought alot

so i got tons of hidden fates etbs and other things like it

and when you spent more than X at gamestop you were given a little pack with 3 random ash's pikachus in them each worth like over 50$ now on top of the 75% off msrp

i opened so many boxes and packs even got some mewtanks and i still have a pile of hidden fates shinys sitting around

and then years later gamestop lost their souls

i have noticed that lately alot of darkrais have been selling specifically the alt and gold and compared to the other non charizard golds its selling far more rapidly on tcgplayer which makes it seem like both are underpriced right and and are looking to climb
