Have yall also had moments where you feel like the best boy/girl/character of a media isn't your favorite character?

I know this question might seem random, but it's been sitting in my head for a while.

I would often see people go “__ is best boy/girl”, and usually it would be their favorite character.

^(I might be misunderstanding what the term means though)

Idk why, but that's not really the case for me, at least for one of my fandoms.

Idia Shroud is my favorite character of Twisted Wonderland, he’s been my main favorite character for years.

But I don't think of him as the “best boy” for some reason, I feel like that title goes to Ortho Shroud (his younger brother).

I can't really explain why I feel like it fits him more, I just kinda do.

^(I put some pictures of them for context, I tried my best to limit myself in the amount of pictures to put.)

Have yall also had moments where you feel like the best boy/girl/character of a media isn't your favorite character?

Hera and Pomni broke up :(

^(I already posted this onto my tumblr, saying this in case you see it again.)

I saw that Pomni had the orange bubble so I wasn't thinking it would be something like this, I thought it was gonna be that "I want to be friends with..." thing.

It feels worse since Hera wanted to marry her, but I never got around to doing the proposal mini game for them. 😭

^(It's kinda hard)

They're the 1st couple to have broken up on my island, not that great of an achievement.

Reddit gave me a warning for mentioning a few bad things he did :/

I don't even know if I can say what I put in the comment here (or even show a screenshot).

There was a post on the sub that was asking about what bad things had your f/o done, I think the op took it down.

^(I remember being the only person that commented)

I just simply replied saying that he technically did some things (only 2 things got listed), that was it.

Some time later (like hours) I got an email and it ended up being a warning from reddit saying that I broke a rule and was encouraging harm on others.

^(It lowkey scared me)

I didn't know what I even did so I clicked on what they were saying broke the rule and it ended up being that comment.

Keep in mind that the comment was about what bad things a CARTOON CHARACTER did.

I did not say anything that was encouraging anyone or anything to be harmed, I was just stating facts on what had happened.

I'm not sure if an appeal was really needed since I think I can still do stuff, I'm not sure if an account warning can be taken back though.

^(I deleted the email but I don't know if I should've kept it or not)

I'm just kinda venting about this because it seems kinda stupid and overdramatic. :/

Edit: I sent them an appeal and the warning got lifted today

Why do people use “your yumeship is canon” as a compliment and/or worry about their yumeship being canon?

I've sometimes seen people say things like “your yumeship is so canon twin” or “my yumeship is canon” and they're either using it as a compliment or seem like they're being serious about it.

^(I think I've mostly seen it in the yumeshipping sub before I moved over here & in other places too)

Maybe it's just because of how I am with shipping in general, but I don't really worry about ships being canon, I actually don't want my ships to be canon, I just like them because I do and I can.

I've never worried about my yumeship being canon, and I know that it wouldn't make sense for it to be canon.

It also feels weird when it's a post that's like “your yumeship is so canon and ignore those doubles, except if you yumeship with the same character as me”, how can everyone's ship be canon and not their doubles’ if they yumeship with the same character? I just don't really get that kind of stuff.

Why do people use “your yumeship is canon” as a compliment and/or worry about their yumeship being canon?

^(Take a shot everytime the word canon is said)

How do you make an AU?

If you got an AU idea how would you work out different details?

Would you just write fics for it?

Would you show any design changes you made for it?

Do you make a post explaining what it is and what it's about?

Would you do something else?

I haven't worked on one before and was thinking of maybe finally doing something for a random AU idea I had.

^(I kinda just want advice)

Her daddy's genes were throwing punches, my hair color only kicked in near the end.

^(She kinda has my eye color though)

The glowing things were thunderbolts, if you were wondering.

^(She had an interest in those as a baby for some reason)
