What are some of your favorite darkship dynamics?

My favorite is probably mentor/student illegal age gap. Especially when the student is a young teen and their mentor is at least late 20s-30s, young enough to still be relatable to the kid but old enough to feel guilty. Bonus points if they call them “kid” or kiddo”.

Another one can technically be considered the one above too but with the preface of grooming. Older party intentionally groomed younger party resulting in the youngers mental collapse—going crazy and turning obsessive of the older once they’ve grown up some and got more powerful. The younger wants the older’s complete attention because they feel left in the dust after the older “abandoned” them like a completed project. The older growing more and more afraid of their subject as they realize what harm they’ve done to them through grooming.

More favorites include the classics. Big brother x little brother. Or any older x younger sibling where the older is more teasing and carefree, borderline a bully but in a playful way. The younger is just like paranoid about getting caught by the parents and doesn’t really understand the situation completely, only that their older sibling is making them feel good.

Of course, there’s also dadson, which I enjoy too, in general.

Does anyone have any ships that came to mind when reading this? Let me know your favorite dynamics and if you want, give me some examples of these ones. Need more ships to look into that are like this

The time an anti wanted to report me to the us police

So my first encounter with these people was on a Facebook post they were insulting an artist for making a dakimakura of bakugou and I was so confused bc everyone in the fandom lewded bakugou that dude has more porn that all the girls in the show lol.

They were saying that was weird and sick and I was like "girl, he doesn't exist, and he has been lewded before why is bad now???" And suddenly she just copypasted the US constitution and laws, and told that what I was saying could be reported to the US police and I could on jail.

Funny thing, I am not even from the US I am from south America at that time, I thought she was just a crazy person but idk when these people spread like plague

Mentioned Lilycest in the CRK server just to see what would happen, and was not surprised 😂

Ragebaiting antis may be my new favourite sport... they think I'm one of them, but occasionally I "slip up" and mention something tame that antis are somewhat divided on and it's really funny to see xD

“Presumably underage girls”Bruh…

Honestly I usually just ignore anti comments in the umamusume community but I had it up to here with some antis complaining about fictional horse girls. The “Presumably” part is what’s making me go “what do you mean-“

hey can we stop dogging on cakegirl for fat fetish content, and instead talk about other things wrong with it???

idk why the vocaloid fandom is like this considering the fucked up lyrics in some badass songs

[TW GROOMING MENTION] Must admit I'm worried...

This is a bit silly.

I have been working on a story so far (currently, my timeline is on chapter 5). The story has a lot of dark content (a canon groomer x victim relationship that is actually demonized, canon incest that is ALSO demonized, etc.), and I have worked my butt off to have the story be a message about how idealizing authority leads to disappointment in a dramatic story of crimes, monsters and mafias.

My main concern is with the canon grooming victim, not because "I'm scared of him and his abuser getting romantiziced," but the fact that people will woobify Irei the same way Mahito or Douma are; eternally a victim despite the literal grocery list of crimes they commit. I'm not talking about thinking of him as a victim who does bad things as a victim. I'm talking about them erasing the entirety of his characters.

I talked to a friend about that character, and she DID understand the concept: a victim failed by everyone in his life, which led him to become an evil fucker as well. Antis have a HUGE tendency to infantilize victims just for being victims. I know I shouldn’t care but it definitely does.

I mentioned I read BL and a girl said it was a fetish

I was talking to a girl from my young apprentice class about books and stuff, and she seemed kinda embarrassed for reading Colleen Hoover. I personally don't like this author, but I don't really care if anyone likes her.

So eventually I mentioned I read BL and that this is basically the romance I read bc I stopped liking romance years ago.

She was painfully straight and basic, and as I started to describe one of the manhwas, she said "wait... you have a fetish!"

I guess she was joking, but I got visibly upset and said "I hate it when people say this..."

There was no time to explain any further because we had to enter the classroom right after I said that.

I get it that these people have no idea about certain types of media, but for fuck's sake, no one would call someone who only reads straight romance a straight fetishist.

Fuck off? Like only straight women read this. I'm not even straight though, but since the people that talk to me there are EXTREMELY basic, and I mean the type to know everything about insta celebs and some people that are only famous for being rich, I won't say that too.

And not to mention that another girl (I'm not saying this to be mean, but she is dumb. She didn't even know the difference between a public and a private school) noticed my YBC keychain, and I had to explain that I read the manga, and it has an actual story. But like, why do I gotta give these explanations?

I really wish I lived inside a bubble

antis being obsessed with selfcest

The concept of antishippers thirsting over selfcest genuinely baffles me😭 like first of all, it's IN THE NAME, it's literally called selfCEST. Second of all, the legal definition of incest is having sexual intercourse with someone that shares over the certain amount of DNA with you, and if you were to bang yourself... Well, it'd certainly be a 100% DNA match, meaning it's literally legally considered to be incest.

I just seriously cannot wrap my head around how self righteous antis are💔💔

I am so sick of purity culture on the Internet

Hi long time lurker here of not just this sub but the proship community in general. I was one of those antis who were never even really an anti but just scared I guess (honestly that's me with a lot of things when I have unpopular opinions but that's besides the point) I wanted to talk about something I have noticed and it is driving me crazy. WTF IS IT WITH PURITY CULTURE IN FANDOM SPACES LATELY. No like seriously at first it was people getting mad at dark ships which fine okay whatever. Then lately I've seen people get mad at:

People who ship themselves with villains hell people who even like villains

People bashing any franchise that does any "fan service"

I'VE SEEN PEOPLE GET MAD AT CROSS SHIPPING??!?! LIKE IM SORRY??!? back in my day we were shipping Elsa with Jack Frost!!

I am just so tired of this purity culture man. -_-

Someone reported me for writing NSFW in school and now my friend group is torn across the winds.

So I write Lolicon and a lot of lolicon. And guess what? I mind my business, I am quiet. I share only with friends. I dont bother anyone and I'm quiet and I keep out of trouble but no, random people who dont even know me report me to Admin for writing 'inappropriate content' and im 90% sure its only becouse its Lolicon. Like, my friend writes gore and cannibalism and trafficking and teachers have read it but no one bats a damn eye.

And then I go to my friends and instead of comforting me one tells me 'well you write lolicon people think its weird' first of all I dont need you spreading that around, second of all I dont need this kind of talk right now I need comfort.

I have very few friends on my side and one of them is ironically the one who writes gore.

Im emotionally wrecked.

Have yall also had moments where you feel like the best boy/girl/character of a media isn't your favorite character?

I know this question might seem random, but it's been sitting in my head for a while.

I would often see people go “__ is best boy/girl”, and usually it would be their favorite character.

^(I might be misunderstanding what the term means though)

Idk why, but that's not really the case for me, at least for one of my fandoms.

Idia Shroud is my favorite character of Twisted Wonderland, he’s been my main favorite character for years.

But I don't think of him as the “best boy” for some reason, I feel like that title goes to Ortho Shroud (his younger brother).

I can't really explain why I feel like it fits him more, I just kinda do.

^(I put some pictures of them for context, I tried my best to limit myself in the amount of pictures to put.)

Have yall also had moments where you feel like the best boy/girl/character of a media isn't your favorite character?

Antis will literally do this even if proshipping isn't mentioned at all

So this happened on my own tiktok, I mainly use it as a rant account so I just post about life stuff or topics that I want to discuss. And I normally get no comments, because I'm not doing it for the views (just me talking into a void basically).

But I guess I somehow attracted the Antis with my last post, because I've had to go through my last 2-3 posts to turn the comments off. And it wasn't even about being proship - as you can see here, I've been discussing how I dealt with my mom in the last years of her life. And someone tried insulting me for it, so I made a post about the insult. And before I took comments off that post, I got a ton like these 'calling me out' for being proship. So now I've turned comments off that post (plus I blocked every negative commenter I could), and I guess I'll be doing this until it all eventually goes goes away.

But seriously, I never brought it up once in the posts about my mom that I'm proship. I do have it on my profile, and I talk about it in some posts before these ones. But NOW I get the flood of Antis when I don't talk about it.

This stuff just confuses me so much.
