Beginner Freediving Advice for Reaching 5 Meters
Hi, I’m 24 years old and I used to play water polo. Lately, I’ve really wanted to get into diving, so I bought myself a pair of fins. However, I don’t have much experience with diving yet. The deepest I’ve gone so far is around 3 meters, but now I’d like to try reaching about 5 meters.
I’m not really sure what equipment I need or what safety precautions I should be aware of. I’ve never used a snorkel before either. I feel pretty confident about my swimming technique; I can cover long distances without using too much energy. At the moment, I think my main issue is breath control.
Another swimmer advised me to let out some of my air while descending, but I’m not sure whether that’s actually the right thing to do. I’m open to any advice you can give me about safety, breathing, technique, equipment, or anything else a beginner should know.
Is there a song you think everyone should listen to at least once before they die?
Looking for songs about life, not love
Strategically, I understand why writing love songs makes sense. But at this point, I really want to listen to songs about life, what we go through, and the journey we’re on. Could you recommend me some songs about life?
