Previous trades that occurred near the draft were all finalized around 5-10PM. Examples:
Mikal Bridges to the Knicks (2024): The night before the draft at roughly 9:30 PM ET.
Anthony Davis to the Lakers (2019): The Saturday before the draft around 6:45 PM ET.
Bradley Beal to the Suns (2023): The Sunday before the draft around 6:00 PM ET.
Alex Caruso to the Thunder (2024): The week of the draft around 5:00 PM ET.
If you recall, Robinson got a massive offensive rebound after Josh Hart missed a FT. They only had 11 seconds to work with and most crucially, neither Brunson nor KAT were in the game. They could’ve played that possession out and if they get a stop and the rebound, they have at least 11 seconds to work with down 3. Instead Mitch Johnson signals to their players to foul, they foul OG who goes 1/2 effectively ending the game. Is this a coaching mistake? Did you guys like the decision?
