Don’t know what to do . Don’t want to put to sleep :(
Has anyone else ever had this happen with one of their hens? About two weeks ago, one of my hens started finding it more difficult to walk and I noticed when she was trying to fly along the garden she couldn’t really keep her weight up and her body was constantly sort of dropping and then I noticed she was sitting down more often than usual, and then about a week ago she just completely couldn’t move and since then she hasn’t been able to move at all. One side of her wings is dropping and also one of her legs seems to be kind of paralysed that her feet doesn’t curl on the left side.
I’ve taken her to the vets and everything is normal other than the fact that she has lost a lot of weight. We gave her the hormone implant because the vet thought it might be reproductive issues that’s causing something to Press on one of her nerves and that was a week ago and we haven’t seen any improvement yet..
I’ve been giving her nutrients and she just started antibiotics a couple of days ago but we still haven’t seen any improvement with that
has anyone else had this happened to one of their hens? She is completely fine in herself otherwise so I’m really confused. I don’t want to put her to sleep if she might recover but I also know it’s not a good quality of life for her at the moment :(
