built WorkTree-OS. A trading analytics and risk management platform. Beta is open now.

I’ve been building WorkTree-OS, a desktop trading analytics and risk platform for active traders.

It started because I wanted something that did more than just record trades. WorkTree-OS has grown into trade analytics, risk tools, Monte Carlo simulations, prop-firm modeling, consistency analysis, cross-account analytics, and Atlas, an AI layer designed to help traders understand what their data is actually telling them.

The beta is open now for Windows and macOS.

I’m looking for traders willing to actually use it, push it, find bugs, and tell me what sucks just as much as what works. Feedback from beta users will directly shape what makes it into the public release.

Target public release: December 25, 2026.

If anyone wants to try the beta or see the interactive demo, I’ll drop the link in the comments.

Mac traders i need your help.

Looking for 1–2 Mac traders for a private beta

I’m preparing the first external beta of WorkTree-OS, a trading analytics and risk platform I’ve been building.

I specifically need a couple of Mac users who actively trade to test the macOS build on a clean machine.

I’m not looking for someone to just open it and say it looks good. I need you to install it, import some trade data, use the analytics, try to break things, and tell me exactly where you get stuck.

Interested? Let me know what Mac you use and what you trade.

Just an inquiry to a question ive been asking.

Would you use a prop firm simulator if you had one?

I’ve been building WorkTree-OS, and one of the things I wanted for myself was a way to test a prop firm account before paying for the evaluation.

The idea is pretty simple:

Pick the prop firm/account you’re considering, enter the rules — profit target, trailing/static drawdown, daily loss limit, consistency rules, minimum trading days, payout rules, etc. — then run your actual trading history through it.

Instead of just asking, “Could I pass this eval?” I want it to answer things like:

- How often would I actually pass?

- How many days would it typically take?

- What rule am I most likely to violate?

- How often would my normal trading blow the account?

- Is my current position sizing too aggressive for this account?

- What happens to my drawdown room after taking a payout?

- Would a different account size or firm fit my trading better?

- How does the probability change if I reduce my size or daily risk?

Ideally, you could run thousands of Monte Carlo variations of your own trading history instead of relying on one lucky/unlucky sequence of trades.

I’m already building this into WorkTree-OS, but before I lock down the beta version, I’d rather ask people who actually trade prop accounts:

Would you use something like this before buying an evaluation?

And more importantly, what would the simulator have to tell you for you to actually trust it when deciding which account to buy?

Not trying to sell anybody an eval or push a firm. I’m trying to figure out what prop traders would genuinely want from a tool like this.

I built an AI-assisted trading analytics platform — curious what the ML crowd thinks

I've been building WorkTree-OS, a trading analytics and risk platform that started because I wanted to understand my own trading data better than a normal journal allowed. unfortunately, I dropped out of college for computer science the Physics and Discrete Mathematics was too much.

The basic idea is:

Import actual trade history → analyze performance → model risk → identify behavioral/performance patterns → give the trader useful feedback from their own data.

The platform currently includes trade analytics, risk analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, prop-firm simulation, consistency analysis, account tracking, and an AI coach called Atlas.

The direction I'm taking Atlas is important: I don't want an LLM pretending it can predict the market or giving generic "AI trading signals."

I want it analyzing the trader.

Eventually Atlas should be able to combine things like:

  • expectancy and profit factor
  • sample size
  • drawdown
  • position sizing
  • time/session performance
  • setup performance
  • Monte Carlo results
  • consistency
  • account/prop-firm constraints
  • behavioral patterns such as overtrading or oversizing

Then explain what the data actually supports and where the trader may be introducing unnecessary risk.

For example, rather than saying "trade smaller," I'd like it to be able to say something closer to:

"Your historical expectancy is positive, but at your current position size the Monte Carlo distribution produces an unacceptable probability of reaching this account's drawdown limit. At your historical performance, reducing risk to X materially improves account survival."

I'm currently building this toward beta and I'd really like feedback from people who work with ML/data rather than just traders looking at a pretty dashboard.

Questions for this community:

Where would you draw the line between useful AI interpretation and statistical overreach?

What models or techniques would you consider for detecting meaningful changes in trader behavior/performance?

And what would you require before allowing an AI system to call a pattern statistically meaningful?

I'm especially interested in ideas around sample-size confidence, regime/change detection, anomaly detection, clustering trading behavior, and avoiding false conclusions from noisy trading data.

Project: WorkTree-OS worktree-os.com

I'm not looking for trading signals or trying to claim AI can predict the market. I'm interested in using the trader's own data to build a better risk and decision-support system.

I'd appreciate people tearing the idea apart technically.

Worktree-OS is Alive!

I got tired of clunky spreadsheets and generic trackers for futures/prop accounts, so I built a focused OS for risk analytics and trade consistency.

Hey everyone,

Like a lot of active traders, I hit a wall with tracking risk metrics manually. Juggling spreadsheets while trying to monitor performance, trailing drawdowns, prop-firm rules, and strategy consistency gets messy fast.

So I decided to build my own solution: WorkTree OS.

I wanted something built specifically around the information traders actually need, without turning it into another bloated trading platform.

A few of the things I built into it:

Performance dashboards — Quickly see trading performance, consistency, and the numbers that actually matter.

Risk analytics — Dig into drawdowns, risk exposure, and how your trading behavior affects the account over time.

Monte Carlo simulation — Stress-test trade sequences and see how normal variance could affect your account and drawdown limits.

Prop-firm simulation tools — Model evaluation and funded-account scenarios around the rules traders actually have to deal with.

Strategy analysis — Separate strategies and setups so you can figure out what's actually producing results instead of relying on gut feeling.

Trade history and calendar views — Review what happened and identify patterns without digging through spreadsheets.

Import tools — Built to make getting trade data into the system as painless as possible.

The project has grown way beyond the original idea. I'm now working through the final desktop experience, cleaning up the UI, tightening the workflow, and getting it ready for people other than me to actually use.

The website is live, and I've also set up an early-access signup so I can start getting feedback from real users while I finish the remaining pieces.

I'm not trying to turn this into a sales pitch. I'm mainly interested in hearing from other builders and traders:

If you track trading performance or risk, what information do you actually care about most—and what do existing tools get wrong?

Happy to answer questions about the build, architecture, features, or why I approached it this way.

I need some Advice maybe even a little help

I have been building a software program designed for retail traders. It is a Multi-System Trading Analytics +Risk Simulation Engine. I named it Trader-OS. Well one of the features it has is the Trade Importer that will eventually use API to access the csv files on different brokers platforms. My issue is I cant get it to completely decipher the data it refuses to add stop loss and take profits. When they are in the files. I started out manually entering every trade I made. Bit wanted it to be something that wouldn't confuse the customer. And this thing has been kicking my 🫏. It is mostly written in Javascript and CSS. I use node.js and Electron. Any who. If anyone has any feedback or experience with what im building message me and help a poor man out. Lol

Looking for some feedback back

I'm looking for some honest feedback from other retail and prop traders.

I've been building a desktop tool designed specifically for retail traders and people going through prop firm evaluations. It's not a broker, trading platform, signal service, or copy trader. The goal is to help traders become more consistent and avoid failing evaluations because of preventable mistakes.

Some of the things it focuses on include:

Advanced trade journaling and analytics.

Performance tracking across different strategies.

Prop firm rule tracking and simulation.

Risk and consistency metrics.

Monte Carlo analysis.

Strategy-specific performance dashboards.

AI-assisted trade review and coaching (still in development).

The idea is to give traders a better understanding of how they're trading, not tell them what to trade.

I'm not selling anything right now—I'm just trying to find out whether this is something traders would actually find valuable.

If you trade prop firms or manage your own account:

What features would you want most?

What frustrations do you have with current journaling or analytics tools?

Is there anything you wish existed that doesn't today?

I'd appreciate any honest feedback.

Prop simulatorv1.0

So I have been building a analytical trading journal. And it was pretty awesome. Well tonight I had an idea... what if I built in a consistency matrix. And then I said what about a eval simulator. Well. Here it is! This thing is pretty sweet. I have my dashboard. Trades, calendar, consistency, risk, prop Sim, and monte carlo. And i made it toggleable with Topstep, Apex, and Tradovate 50k eval rules. I think I may have out done myself this time.

Gold was my friend today!

Well GC and MNQ. So far this month ony 2 small red days. Only traded 12 days this month. But I'm still going to keep practicing. Because the next time I do get i get a funded account, i have a better shot of passing this time. I've done a lot of keeping my emotions in check. And letting the trades play and managing my losses instead of getting all emotional and f****** the trade up

u/Character_Cod_5767 — 4 months ago

New project

Started a new project last night. Finished this evening. Made a closed loop trading feed back system. Built in Monte Carlo and risk identifier. I finally got all my trade data from my previous journal entered in. And i think this thing is telling me my strategy is pretty damn strong. Well all 3 of them. I have 3 different strategies with defined ruled for each. And this past month I have not let emotions anywhere near the charts.

u/Character_Cod_5767 — 4 months ago

Strategy I built

So I built a strategy using 5 individual bots with each individual jobs want all of them report the one person and it completes trades in all of my back. Testing in the markets that I run, they suck. But in bitcoin alone, not ethereum or sol or Doge are any of the others? Only on bitcoin, it's running one point 721 point five profit factor nice profits, drawdown isn't bad, but I can't get it to run on any of the others. Then, I would rather do I trade mnq nq es mes and gc. Is there any help? Are any way that somebody could point me in a direction tour?I can have a strategy run on those because I don't trade crypto. As often as I do regular futures

Trial and error?

Well I learned a valuable lesson today. Always make sure your instruments are selected at checkout. I didnt think about that. And got stuck with forex and crypto. I perfered futures. And on top of that I dont like the goat funded charts. Oh well ill make sure and try to pass this eval anyways.

Looking for a decent prop firm.

Preferably one that is compatible with ATSA software. I'm currently holding a contract through topstep and tradovte. They both use a trading view platform. They're both missing some key features that would be useful, especially like on your limit.Orders in your stops, you take profits and stuff. You can drag them when you buy one.It gives you two tabs, and you can drag them where you need them to be.These don't have that, and you gotta go in.And set them up individually. I'm just not a huge fan of trading view, and I like my software that I got.
