Please need genuine advice Nimcet rank 5***
I completed my Class 12 in 2021. After that, I took a one-year drop. In 2022, I started my B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics and completed it in 2026.
After that ,I appeared for MCA entrance exams in 2026, including NIMCET and CUET. Unfortunately, my CUET score was only 108, and my NIMCET performance was also not very good. I secured a rank of around 5,000. Based on this rank, I may get admission to colleges like Cdac or some lower-tier IPU colleges, but I am concerned because their placement records are not very strong.
I genuinely want to pursue an MCA and build a good career in the field. I am confused about what would be the better decision: should I take admission in a college that I get this year in lower-tier IPU college, or should I take a one-year drop, prepare seriously for NIMCET, and try to get into a better MCA college next year? I have completed the syllabus and am ready to work hard but the age after effects me also my background is in physics which I feel may be a hindrance for placement
I would really appreciate your guidance on what would be the wiser choice in my situation.
