The south side of the big island has been hit REALLY hard and this is not a normal kind of weather event in this part of the world. The insurance will not be able to cover a lot of this and the Red Cross has been sent to put up shelters but of course they will be filthy and unsafe for the people who need them. Some major highways are being washed away and many roads and properties as well.

Just another "unprecedented" event setting records ... again. Nothing new anymore.
