Floor sofas vs mould

I've recently made the transition to my first floor sofa, which is two thin IKEA mattresses stacked on top of one another with backing cushions, kind of like a middle eastern majlis sofa. When elderly relatives visit I add some old sofa cushions on top to get the height up.

I'm really enjoying the flexibility of being able to adjust the seating arrangement how I like - often I have both mattresses out flat to create a large soft surface to sit on, but I can also put everything away if I choose. The only issue is that I have mattresses flat on the carpet, and this is guaranteed to cause mould issues in the long term. I'm never going to remember to pick the bottom mattress up as often as I should.

How are people mould-proofing their floor sofas? Putting a tatami underneath seems like it will just put off the inevitable problem, and having extra height there will also make it harder to pull out into a larger lounging surface. You can get raised platforms for majlis and Moroccan-style seating, but I'm a bit loath to add fixed furniture back into the space when I've only just got rid of it. Do I maybe just put a plastic sheet under and call it good?

Also, I'm interested to know if anyone has used a majlis in real life. They seem like a very cool upgrade to my current setup! What are they like to use in person?

Comfrey soap/shampoo?

I have TMD (chronic jaw pain and muscle tension) and I've been using comfrey salve to treat it with great effect. However, the salve has the same problem as any other topical treatment - to get all the areas affected by my TMD, I have to rub it underneath my hairline, and it makes my hair incredibly greasy and gross.

I'm wondering if making it into a soap or shampoo bar would help at all. Has anyone tried? Would it have any effect, or would it be washed away too quickly to do its job properly? Alternatively, would tincturing it and rubbing that in work?

Sims in Copperhead City have the wrong names

I just downloaded Copperhead City to add as a Downtown for Strangetown, but on plugging it into a test hood I found that multiple Sims in the hood have the wrong names. A guy whose bio calls him Danny Button is actually named Rebecca Patch, nobody in the Olsen house has the same surname (and first names are also obviously wrong: Rosario is named Justus, Bjorn is called Jacqueline), etc. I tried the main hood version and have the same problem there. Bios and LTWs appear to match up to context and are probably correct, but obviously I don't know the hood well enough to be sure if any other data is messed up.

HoodChecker hasn't been able to correct it. Is this a known issue? Is there an updated download out there somewhere, or something simple I can do on my end with SimPE? I don't mind renaming sims if that's the only issue, but I'm concerned this might point to a deeper problem.
