Govee Pool Thermometer not updating temps on Alexa

I recently purchased the newer version of the pool thermometer, the P2. While it works great with the app, showing the correct temperatures, it doesn't seem to update when I use Alexa what the temps are. If the pool is at 85°, I'll ask "Alexa, what's the pool temperature?" and it will give me the pool temperature. If I ask an 2 hours later, in reality the temps have dropped to maybe 82°, and the actual device and Gover app show this. But when asking Alexa, it still says 85. It might update to the correct temperatures maybe the next day. It seems to not keep checking for the correct temps.

Any advice on why this may be?

Need a POE NVR system, with 8 cameras, but capable of 16.

Hi. Requesting some assistance in building out a home system.

I'd like to set up an 8-camera system on the exterior of my home, POE cameras, NVR. I need 8 cameras to start with, with the ability to add more... so maybe a 16-channel. And then the NVR to record 24/7. 4k preferred (though 2k is fine if it does what I need), as I'm hoping these would be good to read plates or facial recognition should it be necessary. Any assistance to brands or models that I should be looking at? Or something specific?

With so many options out there, there are cheap priced units, more expensive units, easy to install, hard to install, etc. I'd install it myself, which shouldn't be an issue, with an attic and a direct line inside the house that goes right to the basement where the office is and where I would keep the NVR and have the monitor setup.

I'm tech savvy, but have no idea about surveillance systems. I've been glancing Reolink, but is that a good choice?
