I’m posting here because I’m completely lost and don't know if I'm doing the right thing.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years. It’s a long-distance relationship—he’s in the US and I’m in Pakistan. Because of the distance, trust has always been our foundation. I trusted him blindly and never had a reason to doubt him.

This past Eid, we decided to exchange Instagram passwords. It wasn’t because of a specific fight or suspicion; we just thought it would be a nice gesture of transparency. I didn't even log in for a while because I didn't feel the need to.

Yesterday, I decided to open his DMs for the first time just to see his world. I was devastated to find out he’s been talking to two other girls. The messages weren't "accidental"—it was clear he was maintaining something with them behind my back.

I confronted him immediately. I told him we are broken up and that I’m leaving him. Since then, he has been "begging and saying sorry like crazy." He’s panicking and doing everything to try to get me to stay, but I feel completely numb and clueless.

After 4 years of waiting for each other and building a future across oceans, I feel like the person I loved doesn't exist.

Am I right to walk away immediately after 4 years?

Can a long-distance relationship ever recover from this kind of betrayal?

How do I handle the "sorry" and the begging when I still love him but can't trust him?
