Or am I being paranoid? Not my place, looking for some place to move.
Wouldn't that help purge the toxins? Seems logical to me.
My previous rental had both mould and freaking sewer gas venting into the unit. Desperate to leave, I applied all over and applied for a place 800kms away. I explained why I needed to move and specifically asked the agent about mould etc and she said it's all good. Drive 800kms and arrive to seeing this under the kitchen sink. Obviously it's leaking behind the wall and there's a tonne more mould back there and under it. FML. Stuck out for 2 months so far but my head is constantly hurting (flares up extra if i stick my head in that cupboard), really fatigued, my d doesn't work at all anymore. I'm too tired to think properly. I'm trying to find another place but it's going to be next to impossible for me, took me 5 months to find this one and now my rental history is shot with 2 short leases in a row, didn't exactly leave the last one on good terms after what they put me through. Not to mention the thousands in moving, I have some savings still luckily.
Do I breach then NCAT? Walk me through it like I'm 5 please. What chance do I have? How big of a work is it? I already had an inspection so I pointed it out to her and her email later was just this: "I have compared a photo from 2020 when we first started managing the property to the photo I took at your property this week and it's the exact same.
It's very old staining and definitely not a current leak."
Had my blood, pee and poo tested, all normal. Having no inflammation show up baffled me because I have permanent inflammation in my head and testicles, although ibuprofen does utterly nothing to allieve it. It's like the veins in my head sort of pulse and clench, there are focal points but it does shift around. Then there's a constant dull pressure in the centre top of my head that I can feel whenever I think deeply, or ejaculate, or do exercise and often just randomly. My left testicle just slightly aches or there's no ache but it interferes with my libido/hormones. I can get erect, and I can force myself to ejaculate. Now and again I can masturbate just fine but the pressure in my head will interfere with the dopamine so that my orgasm only ever feels 90% complete.
Ultrasound of testicles showed nothing wrong. I know it's mould because my head clears up when I leave, worse if I stick my head in the offending cupboard under the kitchen sink. Only other symptom is my poo has turned pale/very light brown and fatigue. I don't have the classic symptoms like gut inflammation, nasal issues, brain fog or any other ambiguous symptoms, I feel completely fine underneath the issues that I feel.
I'm pretty sure that's far worse than China's social credit system? At least that's an attempt of a system. In Australia, random REAs can and do make people permanently homeless by giving them bad rating reviews. They can do it completely arbitrarily with no oversight, so if a REA doesn't like you simply because of your race, gender or anything else, they can just send 1/5 ratings to any application, and you're basically screwed. You can't even get a place to live.
"Human rights bodies (alongside international groups like Human Rights Watch) have condemned China's opaque blacklisting mechanisms that subject individuals to disproportionate travel bans, banking restrictions, and public shaming without a fair trial or the ability to contest the designation"
That sounds a lot better than being made literally homeless? Does the rest of the world know what's going on in Australia? I'm yet to hear the UN's High Commissioner for Human Rights condemn Australia's abuse and exploitation of its renting class. Maybe they just don't know?
How are we supposed to get another place if a REA chooses to be spiteful?
I was in a rush at the time and didn't want to be difficult (yes, i know, i'm an idiot). Of course, the photos are so small on the report that you can't see any detail, but I assume they have the proper sized ones on file. Do I just demand they send the before/after pics if they try to make a claim? There's a few stains on the carpet for example that have always been there, along with some wall marks. She's just put 'white painted walls in good condition no damages' etc. when you can clearly see in some of her tiny pics that there are damages. Will that invalidate her report if it ends up going to a judge?
