Despite this game being over 7 years old I still see a ton of people who struggle getting in on zoners because they dont know how to shield out of run

When you input a dash, you will enter 3 states: The initial dash, the run, and the skid-stop when you let go

You can NOT shield cancel skid-stop, but you CAN shield cancel run, and initial dash (past a certain frame which varies by character)

The reason a lot of people dont realize this is because as soon as you release your stick to neutral you enter skid-stop

But all you have to do is just keep holding forward until right after you press shield

If you're still holding forward, you will go into shield frame 1, but the mistake I see TONS of people making is they let go of the stick THEN press shield, which makes them have to go through their entire skid animation (more than 10 extra frames) before they can shield, which needless to say, makes fighting zoners WAY harder

I have a knack for anything that leaves my fingers instantaneously being transported to dimensions beyond what we know, and I haven't been able to find the remote to my bed for like 4 hours and its been stuck up at this weird angle like a third of the way up thats great for sleeping but now I want it up because I'm watching a YouTube video on my tv (Nerdcubed Ranks 1493 Games on Tiermaker, todays video, very good), and the video is like 3 hours long and I keep getting up and pausing it because Im irritated I can't put the bed up so Im tearing apart my room looking for the damn remote, and then I hear the very familiar click of my apartment's shitty power going out again, and my tv turns off... about 15 seconds before I finally find the fucking bed remote (it fell of the edge of the bed and ended up in a box of stuff from christmas that was barely poking out from under the bed, and it got under one of the things in it so I couldn't see it) and I have short term memory loss so naturally I didn't register that the power had just went out, got excited that I found the bed remote, and tried to put it up. And it didnt go up. Because the power is out.

I dont know why but I swear I see Samus players more than every other zoner combined

Like I don't even mind, my characters do fine into her, I know the matchup, and if they're half competent I actually generally enjoy fighting her, but dude I straight up see Samus more than Steve Min Min and Banjo combined, what is it about Samus that just has SO FUCKING MANY people playing her? Based on how they play, it damn sure isn't because they're having fun, I know a ton of people online purely just play zoners for the sole reason that theyre buffed online, but you'd think it'd be a more even spread

Like there's so many options to zone with and characters that let you play like a complete fucking tumor, and many, at least imo, are far more annoying than Samus, AND more fun to play as while doing it (Young Link my beloved)

So why her specifically, why is SHE the one that EVERY sweaty ass basement dweller is playing while they're routing their wifi signals to the fucking ISS
