Applegate labeling change?
I noticed that the Applegate ham (in new packaging) is not labeled gf whereas the turkey (in the packaging I’m familiar with) still says gluten and casein free. Not sure when or why they changed this. Has anyone else/noticed seen this? Tried to post a side by side pic but it wouldn’t let me.
Follow up bagel post
A couple pics of one of the loopy whisk bagels on the second day (baked last night). I toasted in the toaster oven for a couple cycles uncut and it came out great - tasted as good as the day it was baked🥯 (see previous post for more info). I also froze a few immediately so we’ll see how those reheat.
First gf bagels! 🥯
These are from the Loopy Whisk bagel recipe - I didn’t have sorghum so I used buckwheat flour which made them a little more brown than a traditional bagel but they have a slight crispy exterior, great chew and nice, soft inside. They were pretty easy to make and taste way better than any I’ve purchased in store!
Gf birthday cupcakes
Used the gf King Arthur confetti mix and homemade chocolate and vanilla buttercream frosting 🧁
Career change + new business venture
I’m looking to start a small biz in my community and I’m wondering if anyone who’s done this has any initial advice and/or regrets. It’s a terrifying but exciting prospect and I know it will be a lot of work but I’m over sitting at a desk 40 hrs a week.
I’m early 40s and in the engineering consulting world. Can’t decide if I should just grind it out at my job for another 20 yrs or try to open something that would benefit the community and that I’m more passionate about.
