Wearable sensors affected by smoking the most?

I am an occassional. Though been smoking a lot more during the summer. Just sort of happened, and it got me wondering about the smart watch I got

Feels like the heart rate sensor is the only thing that will break apart my health metric callibrations. Is there anything else I should worry about affecting my readings over smoking?

As for the motion of putting the cig up while smoking, I do have the gesture saved on the motion detector.. Wondering more of the effects on the sensor reader

What is Telegram useful for?

I know it’s often brought up for privacy as an option for secret chats or self-destructing messaging and I know people use it for large broadcast channels, news feeds and group communities

Beyond basic group chats or standard text messaging, what are the actual killer features or use cases that keep you using it?

Would love to hear how you guys use Telegram in your daily routines. Interested in any other methods and use-cases how it could be used

Do all outdoor pull up bars rust?

Wanna get a bar in my yard.. I realized it would help in dusting my carpets too😄

Although I am not sure what to get. Surprised they didnt cost that much too. I was gonna ask dads friend to do some metalworking on some metal bars, though seems like the pricing aint too crazy for a prebuilt one. I also realized the one built by dads friend would rust away eventually. Do the ones you can buy also rust?

How do the prebuilt ones last during the seasons? I just wanna get a basic metal one. I seen ones with wood poles, though the cracks people seem to develop in their wooden poles dont signal strong durability for the long run.

Best budget fitness tracker?

I want to start using a sensor for sports, and sleep if possible, however, I have a very compact budget. Are there any cheap devices I could get? If I like it, I might invest more but for someone who hasnt used nothing of this sort apart from a bad attempt with a mobile app I feel sort of skeptical to make a bigger investment

Can you airdrop to Android?

I though the feature is an exclusive to iPhones. I was passing by a bar terrance and heard from two loud guys yapping about that you can actually airdrop stuff to an Android now??

I could swear I overheard them talking earlier about airdropping photos straight to a Samsung phone. I knew the phone he was holding by the back design and Im posivie it was a Samsung

I always thought airdrop was locked strictly to the Apple ecosystem and that you had to use dodgy apps or links by email to share anything across brands. Or was the person I overheard just using "airdrop" as a generic word for sending a file wirelessly?

How to tell dangerous plastic bottle from safe?

I can't believe no plastic bottles are safe. This sentiment is what I hear people say online a lott. I have a pristine bottle from a bicycle set and I know for a fact it is fit for use without hazards. But I can't shake it off my mind over some stuff I heard and wanted to ask around.. Is a BPA-free bottle a health risk?

Bit of a PSA, a standard squeezable plastic bike bottle is often made from low-density polyethylene(LDPE). While modern sport drinking bottles are certified BPA, BPS, and BPF-free, heating them up in a hot car can still cause microplastic bits to come apart into your water altering its taste as well.

However, if the insulation is fit, there is no danger in drinking from such a bottle. Am I wrong to assume such things for a bottle listed as BPF-free? Is there even any way to inspect a bottle's grade?

People suggest steel, or glass bottles being better but they don't seem very fit for cycling in my eyes. Bulky metal, or fragile glass.. really?

Best way to train grip strength

Was gonna get one of these grip trainers though they seem like some sort of fidget spinner thing. Are they any good for training grip? I also seen some plastic one that looks like a scale though it seems flimsy even if it shows metrics for my grip.

Any advice? Maybe something I could do with dumbells or other exercises without buying extra toys?

Signs you had a good workout

How do you tell when enough is enough? I used to use muscle soreness as reference for my sessions, however, recently I stopped feeling the sore.

I still feel it the next day, though I just can't seem to figure out how much do I need to work out going forward. Don't want to stretch more than I need to. To make matters worse, I got hit with some intense systemic fatigue later in the day over the past few weeks, so I definitely want to avoid overtraining or pushing past my recovery limits. I suspect these new routines being unrefined is whats holding me down

What performance metrics or biofeedback cues do you look for during a session to know you've done enough? Any tips on tracking progressive overload without just chasing muscle soreness, or basic advice on managing this evening energy crash?

What is a faraday bag and how is it better than tinfoil

I looked them up, and looks like I could just make one with a bag covered in tinfoil lol

As someone who is sort of anxious over master pickpockets, would this type of a sleeve be needed for my phone or is having the NFC functionality disabled enough? Just got a new phone and its even a little bit too smart for my own good so far. Only struggling over this topic since Im going on a trip and looks like some of our route streets are favoured by local thiefs

In general, does anyone experience pickpocketing a lot? Like not even yourself but do you notice somebody getting called out abroad doing such acts? Wondering if its sensations online or an actual problem. Visiting East Asia but I'd like to keep the extra specifics to myself..

Are Lemonade pet insurance reviews reliable? What are some alternative long-term insurance methods to lessen expenses

Hey everyone. Sorry if this is bit of a vague question, just I found quite the 'colorful'(to say the least) reviews on Lemonade. Some of them are alright, while others are making me think about quirks with my own life insurance😅

I feel like the good and the bad ones have some useful insights, however, main take-away claims that its not a good long-term solution. Is it normal to go from one insurance to another one in hopes of reducing the longterm costs?

If not, what is a reasonable way to ensure I can spend for my dog less long-term? Want to make sure that he is taken care of, though I feel like theres ways to make those rates climb for me slower somehow

Risk when picking managed security service provider

Hey, I been reading into a lot of cyberthreats and sort of realized not all of it is simple fear mongering. Especially since we seek to set up some sort of safety net to guard our databases. We're relatively small but thats a one-way ticket to ruining your business if anything client-related isnt safe.

So we are sort of trying to figure out who could handle our system security. Just basically the e-store component, registrations for customers, and thje database holding the accounts, and those of our stock is what needs to be protected. Its safe in my eyes but like reading of breaches happening weekly in all sectors is honestly just weird and alarming. Shoutout to Claude for releasing really cool AI hacking tools I guess..

We seen Azure being reasonable, though doesn't really seem like its meant for small business needs. Could somebody recommend something? We can do it ourselves too if some sort of management tool is easy to use(and potentially has a live agent that we could call if something isn't working).

As we imagine it at the end:
We're running our show, and the security guys will take care of any new sort of vulnerabilities that need patching to keep our stream of orders, etc working

We can now use Wifi to track motion behind walls?

How does one even block away this? I know most of you love to pull a leg for every tin-foil-coded post on the sub, but think of this:
If I live in a flat, can a neighbour catch me having a wank by having some hyper-advanced security system?

When I was thinking it would be cool to have cyberpunk tech, I didnt realize this meant xray eyes for whoever the hell wants it

Seriously, could someone view something outside of their designated areas?

Turns out I should have been wrapping my house in foil while I had the chance after all🤣
