Anybody know if it is open yet? I think it opens up in the first week of June, but maybe things have opened up early this year? TIA

My Croatian grandfather emigrated to Montana in 1922 and at some point used an anglicized version of his name. This new surname showed up on my mother's birth certificate, but he didn't officially change his surname until after my mother was born. I have his original naturalization certificate that has a note (on the back of the document) where his surname was officially changed and his Naturalization Declaration of Intent lists both versions of his name. He also seemed to use his first name Miho interchangeably with Mike on documents and the "-ovic" on his surname sometimes is spelled "-ovich"

My question is whether this will pass muster for lineage from him to me? And can this be explained in a motivation letter?
