Chatfield catfish spots?

I've been visiting Chatfield for a while, but I've only caught trout and a few bass. The entire time I've mainly been trying for catfish, but I haven't had any luck. Are there any spots that are at least somewhat decent for catfishing? I've tried a few places people have recommended, but none of them have worked for me so far (skunked four months in a row 💔).

Spots that are safe to keep?

Newish to Denver area and im looking for spots to fish that I can actually keep. Ive heard how there are a lot of spots around here where you probably shouldn't keep the fish. Doesnt matter if the fish is bass, trout, pike, or whatever. Im closer to Aurora but dont mind driving 40 minutes or so. Thanks!

Heading to Grand Lake. Need some tips if you got ‘em

I’ll be in Grand Lake for a few days and I’ll be hitting Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake. A bit of shore fishing, a bit of kayak. All with a spinning setup.

I’m the worst fisherman that ever lived. I get skunked 90% of my outings in Colorado. Hoping you can share some tips on locations, depths, a set ups. I’ll have a nice time either way, but catching a some fishies would be ideal, haha.

Thanks!

Nothing big but I had a fun day chasing panfish on the Pawnee National Grassland no

I saw lots of big bullheads but they didn’t want what I was offering. The heat and clear water probably worked against me.

What are good small boats for Colorado?

I want to get a small boat for myself mostly (maybe a dog & another person). It will b used for fishing, but also general fun... So I live in an apartment (It would have to fit through my door, or window, which are pretty big) , And do not have a truck, I have a 2 door jeep with a roof rack. (also a hitch). But do you guys think more of a canoe type setup? Kayak? or one of those inflatable raft/dinghys?... I'm not really sure where I would take it. The lakes or something more of a stream type situation.. I'm in Colorado Springs.

Big metro brown!

Measured at 21 inches, not sure why all the browns from Standley are so silver. Caught 2 today around this size.

Spot questions

Hi all, I’m looking to go out tomorrow on a creek/ river to fish. I was thinking about hitting the West Fork Clear Creek just north of Empire off Highway 40. I’m not originally from CO so I’m just curious if this is a decent enough idea. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
