Does anyone know anything about 5280 Eats?

Looks like a new place called 5280 Eats is opening up in the spot next to Asuka Ramen where El Jefe used to be. I’m not sure if it’s open yet, but I saw some bistro tables outside and a sign in the window advertising breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has a bit of a diner vibe. I’d love for a greasy spoon diner to open up in our neighborhood—has anyone been there yet? What were your impressions if yes?

Do you need to clean fly line if you've been lawn casting?

Probably a dumb question, but if you've been practicing casting on the lawn, do you need to clean your fly line in the same way that you do after every few sessions on the water? If yes, what's the best way to do that?

[WTS] [WTT] Orvis Ultralight Wading Jacket

Reposting my Orvis Ultralight Wading Jacket, and knocking $40 off the price I was originally asking. It is men’s size S, and the Ash/Alloy colorway. It is in excellent condition, with no holes, rips, or other damage. There is a very small amount of black ink on the left elbow which is not noticeable unless you’re looking for it, and invisible from the front (see pics). It may be washable, I just haven't bothered to try.

Retails for $350, I’m asking $160 (includes shipping to lower 48). Ships from Colorado.

Also open to trades for other gear. Particularly interested in a 7/8wt rod or reel, or a Fishpond hand net…but make me an offer if you have something else in mind!

I’m currently grinding my way through the Fly Fishers International (FFI) Gold level skills challenge, and I’ve been weighing the idea of sticking with it all the way to the Certified Casting Instructor path.

The structured practice has definitely helped me iron out some of my messier habits, but I’m curious about the general vibe toward these certifications in the actual community. Are the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels (or the CI badge) actually held in high regard by other anglers? Or is the perception that they’re mostly for people who prefer lawn casting to actual fishing?

I don't have plans to become a guide or enter the industry professionally. This is more of a personal goal. For those of you who have gone through the program or know people who have, is it worth the time and effort if you aren't planning to get a paycheck out of it? Is the CI track overkill for a regular angler, or does the technical deep-dive actually make a noticeable difference when you're back on the water?

I'd appreciate any honest takes or experiences you guys have with the FFI system!

This image is very low resolution. Is it possible for someone to increase resolution to the point where it would be possible to print it without it looking pixelated?

Thank you!
