Wish they called it a "KZ"

Aging myself, yes, but I remember the 70's when is was an air cooled inline 4, and the sound of a Kerker pipe. Reminiscing, but when i get a new Z900 RS, I'll call it my "KZ".

I was looking at CB1000F, now looking at RS. Questions

I've been anticipating the new Honda coming out, but after doing a bunch of reading and YouTube, I'm leaning more towards the Kawi. I love the colors of the previous year models more than the colors for 26 here in the US. Is it worth the upgrades to wait for a 26 model, or is anything from 20-24 model years "good enough"?

Am I crazy? I swear I used to be able to start my bike in gear with clutch in?

Tonight I was at a friend's house, adjusting the clutch. It has seemed to have a drag, as in resistance to rolling with clutch lever pulled all the way to the handlebar. We got that adjusted. Went to start the bike with clutch lever pulled in, in 1st gear, and it wouldn't crank. Click into neutral, and it would start. I have the kickstand switch bypassed, so I should be able to start whenever I want. Did I imagine this for the past 18 months, or can I only start in neutral? I put some different levers on it recently, but I don't remember any issues with install.

Good upgrades, 428 O ring chain, 14 front and TST chain adjusters

Very happy with these upgrades on my 22 Grom. Original chain was noisy and annoying at 1700 miles. Decided to change everything. Super easy. 4th gear feels stronger over 6k rpm, nothing earth shattering but a definite improvement. Chain is so quiet. Highly recommended.

300 miles of mixed use yesterday. Interstate, highway, gravel and dirt. This thing performed flawlessly. Didn’t wander with grooved interstate, didn’t slip in dirt. 140 rear, 90/90/21 up front. Very pleased.
