High fender or no?

Convince me to get or to not get the high fender
And does it fit with the yamaha crashbars?
I know opinions are personal to each but i personally really dig the rally looks , and how bad will it be if i delete the bottom fender , is cutting it to keep the back half a good idea?

Update: im convinced im not putting a high fender
Thank you tenere people

Re update : im not convinced a guy said the aero aint that bad

NICECNC Bash plate?

Has anyone fitted a NICECNC bash plate to their tenere? Thinking just to get one of these as shipping will only be $10 instead of $100+ for me. I'm only using the bike for ADV touring, nothing extreme, and I'm sure I could have the linkage flap made up cheap enough locally. I'd maybe also consider the acerbis plastic one. Depends on compatibility with a center stand...?

Tribute to my bike that has just been stolen.

First bike purchased new. Servicing done just by myself. Did two years of 10-15k miles a year then added mto7 wheels for a supermoto road look.

I was about to switch over to the dirt wheelset as I had a trip next week.

Balaclavaed up nobs stole it from my drive. I had CCTV and alarm and everything

I had so much fun on it. Rode it through four UK winters. Now I'm not sure what to replace it with.

Supermoto Alps today

Had a great day riding through the Alps today. Sometimes I really wished the T7 had 30 more horsepower 😂 but only because my friend with a 1250GS has a loose right hand...

Bruh…

Changing rear tire and the axle nut was a little sticky, using a breaker bar I gave it a tug and it didn’t feel right. Looked at the other side and the aluminum backing block has failed. WTF? Ordered new axle, block and nut but looks like I’m not riding for a while…

Any ideas on how to get the nut off now?

Passo dello Stelvio 2757s.l.m. IT

Per staccare dal caldo della pianura ci voleva proprio un giretto su questo meraviglioso passo. 10°C e devo dire che senza una felpa sotto la tuta avevo quasi freddo.

Clutch Problems

How does it come that the T7 is „the bulletproof machine that brings you to every place you want to go“ but in the last couple of days i was reading a lot of issues with the clutch here.

Realistic oil change intervals?

Bought my T7 recently and previous owner was changing oil every 2k km, and it appears to have not even been used much offroad. This seems outright overkill to me when the manual says every 10k km. I seen the guys in Oz with the T7 that just passed 100k km were doing oil changes every 5k km as part of their standard fleet maintenance and while my bike will mainly be used on road, the roads here have a very fine dust on them so many people halve the manual stated oil change intervals.

I was doing oil change roughly every 6k km on my cb500x which is half of the stated interval so was thinking 5-6k km on the T7 keeping in mind the fine dust and excessively hot climate of Vietnam.

Keen to hear what others think

back bent when standing on stock handlebars (rally '26)

back from my first off road trip to the balkans and everything is setup to perfection. only issue was that after 5 minutes of riding, my lower back would start hurting due to the fact that when i grab my stock handlebars and im stood up, my body is always bent in order to reach the bars. i know what many of you are going to say, and it's that i don't need to adjust the handelbars, i need better positioning. but i genuinely have never been able to have a straight back when riding upright due to the low height of the bars.

i have three options, and i'll rank them in order of how much i like the idea:

  1. keep everything, but turn stock handlebars slightly forward so that they come up higher
  2. get bar risers (i hear it fucks with handling though?)
  3. get a new higher bar (least favorite cause i really don't want to dismount and remount everything again..)

what do you guys see as the best option from experience?

i know that if that bar were roughly 2-3 cms higher, i could drive much more comfortably offroad..

Considering a T700

Hello everyone! I’m new here obviously. I totaled my first bike. (2022 mt07) Friday (2 days ago). Someone ran a red light and I hit their hood. Thankfully I am ok, just a little road rash but gear did its job.

Regardless, I’m looking at a T7 to replace my mt07. I really loved the 07, but being 6’2” I found it a little bit cramped. I also didn’t really enjoy the hooligan nature of the MT07 very much, it felt like it always wanted to wheelie…

So my question is basically, for anyone that has rode both, does the power delivery on the T7 feel noticeably more tame than the MT07?

Also, will I find the ergonomics a little more comfortable?

Aside from that, I’d also like to just hear general considerations, like what aftermarket accessories are needed, quirks, etc.

I hope to be back on two wheels soon. Thanks for any advice, sorry if these questions are asked frequently.

Finally get to be a part of the club!

ive put 300 miles on it so far and most of it being state land, this bike is so much fun! this is my first street bike, and I never realized how stupid people start driving around bikes. it's definitely more frequent then in a car. I plan to take this bike on some super rural trails and camp to see nature's beauty.

anyway thanks for reading and safe travels all!

Aftermarket grips? Going insane

So I decided on aftermarket grips. Just bought some aftermarket generic protapers. Well fast forward, they are too short, and the ends needed to be cut to fit my bark busters so that makes them even shorter. I cannot for the life of me find grips that are long enough for the Tenere that have an open end for the bark busters and I’m going insane. Any recommendations before I just order the oem ones again (already cut mine) thanks!

Mixing synthetic and semi-synthetic

Hi guys, I have a 2022 T7 and I'm changing oil roughtly every 5000 Km as I'm ridding quite a bit offroad. I have this leftover from previous oil change and I notice one is full and other semi synthetic. Is it safe to mix ? I'd like to finish those two in my next oil change. And also does oil age after 2/3 years of storage ? Thanks a lot and safe ride

The rediculous 2024 T7 clutch issues

So just got the call from the dealer that my clutch plates are sticking again. I was noticing the creeping clutch again at 11,000 km. This will be the 4th clutch going in. I am beyond pissed off with Yamaha over this issue. 2 dealerships now have done work on this bike regarding this clutch. Just wanted to vent

Converting to tubeless

Is this a suitable way to convert a rim to tubeless (yes, I'm aware the front doesn't have the safety bead and would also require a new rim).

Just wondering about this shops technique.
