back bent when standing on stock handlebars (rally '26)

back from my first off road trip to the balkans and everything is setup to perfection. only issue was that after 5 minutes of riding, my lower back would start hurting due to the fact that when i grab my stock handlebars and im stood up, my body is always bent in order to reach the bars. i know what many of you are going to say, and it's that i don't need to adjust the handelbars, i need better positioning. but i genuinely have never been able to have a straight back when riding upright due to the low height of the bars.

i have three options, and i'll rank them in order of how much i like the idea:

  1. keep everything, but turn stock handlebars slightly forward so that they come up higher
  2. get bar risers (i hear it fucks with handling though?)
  3. get a new higher bar (least favorite cause i really don't want to dismount and remount everything again..)

what do you guys see as the best option from experience?

i know that if that bar were roughly 2-3 cms higher, i could drive much more comfortably offroad..

t7 rally ('26) under seat tools

hi all, went on my first trip last week and found out that another t7 rider had yamaha included tools under the seat when he bought his. i bought my bike brand new so should mine have come with it too? i don't seem to have them. will get in touch with the dealership and ask for them to hand them over, depending on your guys feedback. just don't know if it's a genuine yamaha item that should have been included upon purchase

reckless 40 narrow or wide on t7

hi all, just got a t7 rally 2026 and bought the mosko reckless 40. before i assemble it, i wanted to ask if you guys run narrow or wide, since the rear is quite narrow on the t7. i plan on load maxing the 14L bags with tent and sleeping bag and what not, so would the narrow setting bend early when entering the long drybags into the side holsters (making it difficult to get it all the way down)?

do i need higher bars?

i'm roughly 1.86 and ride the t7 rally '26. when sitting i can get both feet on the floor (tippy toes) but when i want to get a flat foot down i have to slightly move my bodacious bussom to the left or right. while riding around on pavement (for now) and stand on the pegs, i find my upper back is slouched a bit and my arms have to be completely straight to reach the handlebars. anyone in a similar position? is it normal like that? do i need higher handlebars??

mosko reckless 40l, luggage plate necessary?

i just ordered the reckless 40l from mosko and after watching some install videos on youtube it would appear that you need a rear luggage plate to mount that holding screw in. is that right? is there another way? if yes. what are some of your recommendations for such luggage plates i can get in europe?

looking for a well ventilated AA jacket

i ride a tenere, so mainly off road. there i enjoy wearing a body armour suit and kneepads covered by a jersey but been seeing a lot of road rashes lately on social media. i'm fully aware that armor is great for impact but shit for sliding. i'm going to the balkans soon for a lengthy trip but to get there i have a long highway stretch and am looking for a well ventilated AA or A jacket to wear on the concrete. once i get there, it's back to the jersey all day. any recommendations on jackets that don't break the bank?

how do you navigate?

just got a t7 rally and went straight for the quadlock mount with vibration damper. i want to do some of the european TET routes in the next few weeks and use comaps for offline navigation, but this process is quite time consuming and makes me curse more often than none. how do you do your navigation setup on the phone!?

questions regarding fuel & consumption on the '26 rally

i bought a brand new 2026 t7 rally maybe a week or so ago. to which i have two questions regarding "fuel":

  1. is there actually no dash display to show how much range i have left based on remaining fuel? if that's really the case, how do you keep track??
  2. when i bought the t7 new, it was fully tanked (at least according to the dash). it has 16L of capacity, i had driven roughly 170 kms and my fuel gauge was at 1/6 after driving an avg. of 5.0 L / 100km. when i refueled, i could only fit 9L into the tank to fill it. is there some electronic process going on in the background when you first get a new t7 that is misreading the tank capacity? how true does the gauge measure (does the last bar last like 80kms)? maybe the dealership didn't fully tank it up...
