People are now adding PPT decks to their applications

I recently came across a TikTok video where someone suggested adding a PPT deck along with their application to a role. The original poster said they get interviews for almost every role they apply to with this method, and it includes a 30 60 90 day action plan. They’ve also been able to move from a 40,000 salary to over six figures.

Can any recruiters give a genuine answer to whether or not this is something that we should be doing / is there a value in this? Anybody actively looking for jobs doing this and what has been the response?

To be honest, I think it’s CRAZY to have to add a PowerPoint presentation along with a cover letter and CV BUT I know the old days of sending an application and hearing back a couple days later with a one stage interview offer are pretty much done.

I’m willing to play ball but just want to know if this is worth the effort as tailoring a CV for every role is time-consuming enough.
