Need advice on my CUTI
29M, Started like 13 years ago when first saw blood drops after very normal (but super dehydrated) urination. Started drinking water and urinating a lot until it went all clear. Fast forward now this blood keeps coming on and off so i drank water and managed it until it just wouldnt stop bleeding after urination.
Now i go to the urologist, they do a full scan from kidneys all the way down and all tests turn out negative including urine and culture. So a cystscopy reveals there is a stricture with some sort of hemorrage in front of where the stricture starts (cause of the blood). So doc gives me some antibiotics and i am good. As for stricture, not too worried as uroflow is quite ok, so not really into cutting it up as this causes it to narrow even faster.
Fast forward 8 months, the bleed comes. Urologist throws me some cranberry pills and its gone again. After 2 months of cranberry, its all good, i stop taking it and later one day i get super dehydrated and the bleed returns. Doc now gave another antibiotic along with another 2 months of cranberry pills. All good until yesterday i dehydrated myself again like to the point i didnt pee for more than 8 hours and boom, in the morning there is slight stain of blood(not as bad as before tho), so i drink water and now its gone for the time being.
How the heck do you have a uti but then again it doesnt show up in any urine test or culture test? How do you deal with this madness? Also is it safe to have sex when you have such uti? Its a little depressing when it returns. Any advice would be super appreciated. TIA.
