Old faithful, but...

I've had this little beast for almost 30 years, bought it specifically to run a grinder and mig welder in remote places.

I hung onto it because it served me so well, and recently dug it out to clean up and put back into service but there's a problem: the welding kit I have now refuses to run on it, I think because it's a bit more modern than my old one and I guess the electronic control board is more fussy about power line noise.

Does that sound like a reasonable assumption? If so, is there anything I can do with it to make the problem go away?

I live in northern Sweden and see a lot of jackdaws here. There seems to be quite a variation in sizes among them, so I'm interested to know if the smaller ones could be younger?

It's only early spring, so no hatchlings yet. I just assumed that a bird over a year old would be full-grown, but perhaps it takes longer than that. Are there any experts here who can shed some light on the subject?

The oak scraps are from a whole pile of little wedge pieces I have from roughing out the yarn spindles I make for a living.

I wanted a little edc pocket sized slingshot, and this idea just came to me. I'll try to squeeze in some work on it tomorrow between paid jobs this week and show you all the progress soon.

If you have any suggestions/recommendations, now is the time 😁
