Daughter has reached that age. That's right - the one where she asks to go on a cruise. We are avid travelers, but usually book extended stays and 1-way plane tickets in order to enjoy our time at a location. This is a whole new adventure for me - and her.
My question - She's 11 years old, and I'm a single mom who's traveling alone with her. Would you recommend a cruise that has multiple "port" stops? Or keep it simple and cheap, and have multiple nights "at sea"?
We were looking at Disney Cruises for the obvious reason of her still being a kid, but.. she's also reaching that "pre-teen" era where Disney isn't going to be the "best thing in the world" (we went to Disneyland in November and she gave it a 7/10 like a maniac) .. Is there a cruise line that you'd recommend, for this age group?
Any recommendations would be great please, on how to tackle this!
I just bought a Insta360 X5. This is my first time having an action camera and am a little intimidated by all the accessories you can purchase. I am hoping to get some advice on the selfie sticks. I am purchasing this for Traveling, Paddleboarding, Fishing, and (wait for it) .... Dog training.
I'm definitely getting the 2-in-1 Stick + Tripod for standing needs while dog training, and allows me to have a general selfie stick for traveling and boating around.
My question, is - should I get another? or does this seem like enough? and which type? I was looking at the extended stick which I think would best fit taking pictures while on the paddleboard, out hiking while traveling, or if I see a whale. But it seems a bit nuanced to have something sooo lonnngg and isn't necessarily travel *sized*. Specially for $90
When I travel, and at home, I tend to gravitate towards the water.
Even typing this out , is overwhelming me tbh... Help?? lol
So we just installed Daisy's first pokeball.... given she immediately stuck her head inside - there will be more.
Using "REBATE" to make us feel better about capping our PFD...Again
I just got this new curious little bugger from an online shop. It had quite the adventure getting here as my overnight shipment turned into an entire week!
It was only born in October. All my other geckos were over 3 years old by the time I got them and were well established (and came with enclosures) ... Any advice on caring for this little junior would be great! Do they need to eat more often? Humidity levels need to be any different? Can I give it bugs or will it choke?
This little one does have some wobbly tendencies and idk if thats normal or if its from being banged around during travel. If its normal (because they're trying to understand ...life) when does it typically go away?
Im obsessed. My daughter wants to name it Cheetoh
My newest gecko was supposed to come through overnight shipping. Its now been 4 days and it wont be delivered now til Mon/Tuesday
I am a newer Crested Gecko owner and am still learning about these guys. My other Cresty was purchased in town but our only local shop closed since then, so I attempted to buy online 🥲
In preparation of it arriving starving, lacking humidity, probably sitting in feces, and decently dehydrated - what suggestions do you have for me, to bring it back to health? If it isnt DOE 😭 it's only about 10 months old
(I say "it" cuz we asked the gender to be a surprise)
Probably the last time I'll be doing this. I feel just awful
I just got a new job that will let me bring my kid to work - but I cant bring her until I'm fully trained and comfortable enough to work alone.
She is 11 years old and my shifts go 5pm - 9:30/10pm
Is there anywhere in town that she can go (or do) during this time? Or maybe some of the time, and gets a ride home after? We've asked friends but its a school/work night and folks dont want to take her that late. Its just for the summer so once we have a routine down, itll get easier. But these first few days of training is making it impossible
We dont have any family in town and her dad works night shifts 🙃
