Zepbound Baby is here!

Thanks to PMOS, dh (41) and I (38) struggled to get pregnant with our second child. We gave up after about 10 years of trying in 2021. Fast forward to jan 2026 when I was doing my monthly weight/measurement check and realized I was up 2 inches in my lower abdomen. I thought it seemed odd considering I'd been maintaining 115 lb loss with about 20 lbs more to go. I looked at my calendar and figured i was over a week late, took a pregnancy test and got a positive. I stopped my 15 mg ZP immediately. My OB said she's seeing a lot of women on zepbound coming in pregnant after ttc for years.

Well, about three weeks ago, my ZB baby arrived. She's perfect. We planned over 10 years ago to name a baby Lillian after dhs grandma. It wasn't until last week during a ZB commercial that it occured to me that our ZB baby's nickname (Lilly) is the name of the company who made the medication that brought her to us. 🤦‍♀️🤣

Tipping for Concert Merch

On Wednesday, I was at the Jimmy Eat World Bleed American concert in Utah. I have a tradition to spend entirely too much on a t shirt at each concert I go to. I buy one for myself and one for my teen. After ringing up the 2 $40 shirts, the machine asked for an 18%, 20% or 22% tip. I was not going to tip $7-9 on shirts at a concert merch stand. I quickly clicked the no tip button and felt zero remorse.

Irrational Frustration at OB Wait Times

My ob office runs consistently behind schedule. My last appointment I was on time for my appt, ushered back to a room, then waited 45 minutes before the doctor came in. It was a five minute visit. This has happened at nearly every appointment, but i love my OB.

Today, I'm 5 minutes early for my appointment, but have been waiting almost 30 minutes past my appointment time.

I totally get why this happens. Emergencies pop up, unscheduled patients going through major medical issues who need to be seen ASAP, urgent L&D needs, cases take longer than expected. I fully support my appointment time getting bumped for these situations, but it still bugs me to be on time and wait without any expected wait time information. Then I feel for the doctor and staff who probably get barely any lunch or break time because they are back to back and running behind.

Thank you for listening to my "it's 105° F outside, nothing fits, I'm tired, I haven't had my diet coke and i really need to pee, but they're going to ask for a urine sample" rant. I feel better getting this off my chest.

Yes, first world problem. I know.

RCR Reserving 8 for Brexton

I just saw RCRs statement that's they won't run the 8 until it's Brextons turn in Nascar. I've been in a state of shock with KB passing away, but this felt like a clay move by RCR.
