Je viens de faire le calcul via un simulateur du gouvernement français. Dans ma situation de famille normale avec double revenu median je suis très surpris de voir que mes impôts seraient similaires en France qu’en Suisse (légèrement plus élevés mais facilement compensable par des dépenses moindres).

Je croyais que les français venaient en Suisse pour payer moins d’impôts. A part s’ils ont des millions et bénéficient d’un forfait ça ne semble pas être si différent que ça.

Hormis les salaires plus bas, je rate qqch?

Edit: non j’ai mal compris c’est de loins pas tous les impôts compris dans le calculateur. Les impôts restants clairement plus bas en Suisse même dans le canton de Vaud.

La dissonance cognitive est frappante. Une municipalité socio/verte qui refuse la densification, l’amélioration énergétique, et la créations de logements donc 8 à loyers modérés…

Tout ça pour des motifs de « patrimoine ».

Ils veulent la densification et des logement mais pas chez eux.

I’ve been away for a few years and back now and despite all the negativity I read until now, it really seems like things changed for the better. Not trying to diminish issues like the effect of climate change, or general cost of living which are not specific to Cambridge.

Also not in the touristy centre which is just continuing to change into what it should be: a tourist attraction. Hopefully soon there will be an additional tax on these to help fund services. I think weekly garbage collection should definitely return.

But most places in the non-touristy areas have visibly improved: lots of buildings and houses have been renovated or improved. I see solar panels on many houses and they were inexistant before covid. Also lots of heat pumps, something that I almost never saw in 2020.

I haven’t seen any of unsavoury people that used to hang out in places like Mitcham’s corner, etc. But I admit this can be by chance.

There is a new train station that connects Cambridge North (where lots of housing is available+connects with villages) to Cambridge South where lots of jobs are available in 5 minutes, something that took at least 45min-1hour in the past regardless of mode of transport. The whole Cambridge south campus looks like there’s lots of future things that will happen there. I haven’t seen many other UK cities with such developments.

Of course it could be even better with better buses and less traffic but it’s on the good path it seems.

Je m’intéresse à installer des panneaux solaires de balcon puisque les SIL sont d’accord d’acheter le courant.

Mais je suis assez confus par le choix de panneau disponibles. Ça va de 300 à 1000chf pour la même puissance…

Same goes for any other adaptations that are being forced unto us because of global warming.

You “don’t believe” in global warming, ok no AC for you. It’s just summer after all.

No medicine for climate-related invasive diseases or allergies.

No hospital if you suffer from a heat stroke.

No heat resistant crops or cattle for climate denier farmers (there were sooo many of them..).

No subsidies or unemployment benefits it you lost your company or job in a ski resort that doesn’t have any snow now.

Etc.

Yes it also counts if you’re saying you “believe” the climate is changing but not that humans are causing the sharp increase from the last 20 years.

Of course nothing of this will happen. We’ll take care of these morons because we’re not monsters. But man those saying FAFO all the time sure don’t want to FO themselves.

All this discussion of AC and nothing on the reason we need it now despite never having needed it until 2020 or so.

I have a 3a with Frankly and it’s pretty solid return. Better than anything I did with my clumsy fingers. How can I replicate that outside of 3a? Frankly doesn’t offer the option it seems?

Je m’intéresse à une villa en Valais et j’aimerais faire ma diligence due avant. En particulier j’aimerais pas me faire surprendre par une extension faite sans permis de construire, une servitude, ou un changement imminent d’affectation. Les histoires de cours d’eau et protection des dégâts naturels m’intéressent aussi.

Ou trouvez vous ces infos spécifiquement en Valais?
