Fitted carpet or normal carpet for a flat renovation in Manchester. Which lasts longer.

I'm doing some work in my flat and I can't decide on the carpet. Do I get fitted carpet that goes wall to wall or just a normal rug type carpet that sits on the floor.

Which one is tougher and lasts longer. I don't want to replace it again soon. Also any tips on materials that hold up well would help.

I'm a sole director of an S Corp. I have no idea if my bookkeeping is correct.

I run a small consulting business and I have been doing my own bookkeeping for two years. I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. I have an S Corp election and I know I need to pay myself a reasonable salary but I have not been consistent. I'm worried about my corporate tax return.

Has anyone else been in this position. How did you get your books cleaned up without starting from scratch.

I reached out to Josh Katz, CPA . He reviewed my books and helped me set up a proper system.

What do you guys do with your dorm stuff over summer?

This is my first year living in a dorm and I'm only now realizing how much stuff I've accumulated.

The problem is that I'm not staying locally over summer, so taking everything home isn't really practical. I've seen people recommend storage units, and I also came across student-focused services like Seven Seas Worldwide that collect and store items between terms.

I'm curious what most people here do. Do you store everything, bring it home, sell some of it, or just leave it with friends until move-in starts again?

How do you organize your files and books? Do I deserve a massive bookcase or floating shelves?

I am trying to set up a home office, and currently, I have stacks of files and heavy books sitting directly on the floor. I am undecided between installing some minimalist floating shelves or making a serious investment in a massive bookcase that can hold the weight without sagging.

How have you solved the problem of storing heavy books, and what experiences have you had ordering solid furniture directly from the internet?
