Is this couch worth the price?

Is this couch worth the price?

My husband and I are moving into our first apartment together and i really want a green couch! This is the couch I am interested in: link

Currently $1400. Unsure on whether it’s worth the price also taking into consideration that we have a 1y/o cat who loves to scratch.

I want your thoughts on the look / brand reliability (since I’ve never encountered this brand before) / price / couch recommendations that are more budget friendly.

Thanks!!

Guest bed vs Murphy bed

Hi all, my partner and I are moving into a townhome and downsizing in about a month. We have the ability to have a dedicated guest room, but we realistically only get visitors maybe quarterly. If we didn’t have a guest room we’d have space to have an office/home gym setup and just generally more space— it feels a little silly to devote so much room to the possibility of guests and not really use it otherwise. We do have a nice guest bed setup that we can keep and we would have to buy a Murphy bed, and I’m not sure if our existing mattress would be too thick/heavy.

Does anyone have a Murphy bed setup and like it? Or, hate it? Opinions on one versus a traditional guest bed?

Italian furniture that won't break the bank?

My girlfriend and I just moved to NYC and have been slowly furnishing our apartment. We both really like Italian modern interiors, clean lines, good proportions, and pieces that feel simple but intentional.

The problem is that most of the brands we love are way out of our budget right now (looking to spend around $3000–4000 total for the living room). We're renting so don't want to go crazy, but also don't want to end up with stuff that feels cheap. We've already gone through the usual suspects like West Elm, CB2, and Article, and nothing quite hits the aesthetic we're after.

We're not necessarily looking for actual Italian-made pieces, just brands that capture a similar feeling. Open to both online and physical stores in NYC if anyone has spots they'd recommend.

RH Dining tables... veneer? Quality?

We saw this table recently and I can't find much about the contruction; we asked, and the guy described it in a way that made it essentially sound like the top was veneered particle board.

Now, I realize that higher-end furniture may use, as it's described, "engineered wood" (and that there may be advantages to it) but the combination, especially with a veneered edge - which seems to me like it could become detached - is an odd combination for a relatively expensive table.

Anyone have any more insight or experience with these?

thanks

Chair legs - possible structural damage?

I am tall and have bad knees. I found a great easy chair, however it is a bit low.

Would it be possible to replace the same diameter, but taller furniture legs with hanger bolts. Or would that possibly structurally damage the chair or could
I get away with taller furniture legs?

Reclining sectional for long legs?

I'm looking for a powered reclining sectional with reclining headrest but is long for tall people. I'm 6'1 and most reclining sofas and sectionals my feet hangover when fully reclined. The only one I found that has an extra foot bar at the end is the Bobs Furniture Equinox like in the pic. My feet rest on the bottom small bar that pops out when reclining. Problem is, it only comes in 2 colors. Does anyone know of a recliner that is for tall people? Thanks

Recommendations for a dining/kitchen table that seats 4-8, with 34" clearance

Hello, I need a new kitchen table, and my wife is restricted to a power wheelchair that requires 34-inch clearance. I found that when searching popular sites, even if specifying a height requirement, results will be included that don't meet it, or there's a top height, but not a clearance height (no specification of top skirt dimension). Under $2k. TIA

Furniture business

I’m very passionate about furniture and interior design but school has always been hard for me. Has anyone started a furniture design business? Thinking of manufacturing in Mexico but not sure how to start

Need help picking a sofa layout or recommendations

Red is doors all of which open to the outside, and the measurements are in centimeters.

I want the bottom wall to have an easily movable couch so I can get closer to the TV with the wife, or friends when I'm not having many guests.

Here are some of the ideas that I got as well as the sofa design I'm going with.

If possible I want the top corner to be an L shape for maximum seating, but if it's not gonna look good I can scrap that idea.

Help me find an awesome recliner

I would like a recliner similar to this. Reverse image search didn't work. Found on aliexpress, but I would prefer to use not aliexpress.

1 Location: Southwest USA

2 Budget: up to $1000

3 Size: medium recliner. I'm 5'5

4 Style: I mainly like the ropes on the side, the muted pink color, and how cushiony it looks. Swivel + footrest preferred.

5 Where I've searched: Reverse image search, wayfair, raw google searching any key word I can think of, random furniture websites. Search engines are genuinely terrible nowadays.

6 Either online or irl is fine. I will drive across the states if I have to

Homelife: no pets

Seeking MCM Couch Recommendations (Reversible Chaise, Firm, Deep Seat) - US

A friend of mine has the "Jadison" branded couch customized via Macy's (as the pics), and I absolutely love how it sits. Unfortunately, it's been discontinued, so I'm trying to find something with a very similar design.

Here are my absolute must-haves:

  • Style: Mid-Century Modern with tall, tapered wooden legs.
  • Material: Fabric or velvet (strictly no leather).
  • Dimensions: Deep seat with medium-width armrests (total size >90 inch × >34 inch.
  • Layout: A floating ottoman that functions as a reversible chaise is crucial.
  • Firmness: Medium-firm to firm (I really don't want to sink into it).

Bonus points (optional but nice):

  • Modular design.
  • Adjustable backrest that can convert into a sofa bed/sleeper.

I'm currently in the NYC area and have already done some showroom testing. I tried the Burrow Nomad, but the sales rep mentioned they recently changed to a new foam production line, and it's unfortunately way too soft for me now. I also checked out Castlery, but couldn't try Issac onsite and would like to consider more options.

Does anyone have brand recommendations or know of any showrooms in the NY/tri-state area where I could test out and purchase something similar?

Thanks in advance!
