I switched out my spring and circus animal babs to put up my halloween ones 🥰 Due to lack of space im limited to how many I can keep out at once, but I've been compensating for it by trying to make cute little displays that are more intentional than just having all of them lined up shelves like I used to. I didnt realize until making this post that I didnt take a picture of my circus animals/spring set up 😭 But they are getting unstuffed soon for storage 💞 these halloween ones will probably stay up until the Christmas drops!
Im fiending 😔
I will paypal 5 bucks to anyone that shows me the couch I end up buying! Lmao
I have been scouring the internet for a new couch for my living room that I am updating. Every single couch I find in my price range is boneless! Just a bunch of foam blocks in that stripy corduroy fabric.
I am desperate and I think at this point im just going to have to really up my re-upholstering game and just hit the thrift.
If anyone can reccomend a couch with an actual frame I would be so greatful 🥹🙏
I just know that as a bigger person with other big people in my family a boneless couch would be lucky to last me a year and I dont want to pay 1000 dollars for a one year item 🥲 Im not looking for a forever couch, just maybe a 5-10 year couch! 😅
Info, likes, and dislikes->
-I am looking for an online seller that ships to KY, USA. If there is an absolutely stellar couch near south central ky I would be willing to pay someone with a truck to pick it up but would prefer to avoid that.
-My budget is 1500 total at the max. I wish I could afford more. It was 1000 but I unfortunately am coming to the realization that may be unrealistic so 🥲 If there is one closer to 1000 that would be grand 😍
- I am looking for a larger couch length wise, anywhere from 115 to 130 in, to fill up a wall. The depth can probably be up to 60 in with any corner/modular pieces included. I am looking for a modular couch that could hopefully be rearranged to be used as a bed on occasion. Storage is not a need but would be nice. Emerald green was my goal color but I think black is much more realistic! R.i.p. Emerald 💔 Assembly is fine! Would love washable covers but also not a necessity.
-I am not looking for a couch with that super fluffy/stripy corduroy or velvet. Both of those are sensory issues for a family member which is unfortunate as the corduroy seems to be on every couch I see 😵💫 Pretty much any other fabric is fine!! I do not particularly care for the ones with built in chargers/cup holders/etc. Especially the ones that take up space that could have been a seat. I would prefer to avoid them. I also would like to avoid listings with no reviews 🩷
I hope that is all the info needed for this sub, I tried to read the rules carefully. I appreciate everyone who read this far and certainly anyone who searches on my behalf! I've been looking in my free time for about 2 months and cant find anything that I like but to be fair im just not great with finding specific things and I dont know if I was using the right search terms.
The amazon box was super damaged so I was expecting the worst but opened it to see her hand just came completely loose 😭 lmao
I don't think this is the right sub for this but it was auto removed from the sub I tried to ask in. I was recommended to post here. Im trying to find out if this little clip part of this charm has a name. It's a charm for earbuds I bought and I'd like to make more of my own but I have no idea what this clip is called or if I can buy ones with flat backs. Id like to be able to glue them to my own charms to use :) if i cant find this exact thing I have a couple other ideas but this would be ideal. Picture of it from the side and one showing it clips neatly onto a standard phone charging cord so you can get an idea of the size.
Shout out to whoever it was that said complaining through BBB was the quickest (and possibly only?) way to get real help from Straight Talk!! It worked 100%
On the 7th of this month I placed an order for a phone through their website and payed through PayPal.
The next morning on the 8th I got an email saying my order was successfully canceled. No reason provided.
For days I could not get any answers from them about when my refund would even begin to process with agents saying they couldn't even view the order from their side. Clicking on the tracking link on my end pulls up the clearly canceled order but paypal shows it as still active so no refund had been processed. Especially awful because I had to spend even more money on a phone that was not my desired model at Walmart while being out the money from the order.
On the 11th I complained through BBB and detailed everything that happened. The next day I got emails from them asking for some account details and yesterday I missed two calls from them so they sent another email asking which hours worked best for me. I work 3rds so I was asleep when they called that day but they did leave a voicemail telling me to call a number and extension that would take me straight to the person assigned my case, so that was nice. I will be keeping it for future use lmao.
Then today I finally caught their call and it literally took 30 seconds for her to confirm my account and process the refund... Why on earth it was that hard is beyond me. Now all Im waiting on is PayPal to send it to my bank.
So overall the bbb method was by far the fastest way to get a hold of someone who actually could help me. It took from the night of the 11th when I filed to this morning (the 14th) to get in touch and would have been probably the 12th or 13th if my schedule wasn't bizarre. So i definitely recommend it if you're struggling to get real help from them.
Also please don't bother leaving comments about how I should just pick a different company, I certainly would if I could. I just wanted to share a way for people to get better help. I see those on so many posts and it's always interesting to me how many people assume we're all just choosing the worst phone company for fun and not for real reasons.
Hello everyone, I looked through the rules and various links available before posting, so I hope I'm formatting this okay. I'm looking for advice on how to help my partner on SSI get a loan for a surgery not covered by their insurance. I've looked around on the internet, including government websites, but I still have some questions about the best way to go about it.
My first concern was if the loan amount could even be deposited into their account? SSI has an asset limit of $2,000 and this loan would be more than that, so I'm worried that depositing it into their account would flag them and jeopardize their SSI. It's my understanding that the IRS considers loans debts, but does the social security administration view it differently? Ideally, I would love for them to be able to accept the deposit, but the risk of losing their benefits is not worth it.
The other solution I was thinking of is that maybe we could deposit it into mine, but is that even possible? Can you deposit a loan that is in one person's name into a different person's account? I do not want to accidentally commit fraud, it would just need to be in my account until we pay the medical bills. I do not intend to be a cosigner or anything, and their credit is great, so I don't think they would need one.
Follow-up question: If we can deposit it into my account, would showing the loan paperwork be enough if I get audited? Since my name would not be on the loan, I'm not sure if it would work the same. I know the chances of getting audited are low, but I would want to be prepared. I'm not really sure how any of that works, so I would love any advice anyone has for me on that.
So far, plan A is for them to just be able to take the loan without me getting involved at all and plan B is to deposit it into my account in case that's necessary for them to not lose their benefits, but if anyone knows a better way please let me know!
Also, I did want to ask, just incase- does anyone know if a personal loan like this could garnish their SSI in the future? Right now, we can afford to make the payments comfortably, but I know that could change one day. In the event that we are no longer able to pay, could a private company garnish them? It's my understanding from what I've been able to find online that only federal debts like tax or child support debts can garnish SSI but I'd love to have this confirmed by someone with experience or more knowledge than me.
Overall, this situation has been super stressful and I'm feeling very overwhelmed by the conflicting information I'm finding online. I would be very grateful for any advice or other solutions anyone has!
Tldr: I bought a phone on ebay, its not working, im not confident ebay will side with me. Will PayPal even though im not sure how to provide proof of the specific issue??
I bought a phone on eBay that was advertised as unlocked for any carrier and paid through PayPal. I've spent the last two weeks trying everything I can, including multiple Sim cards and about 10 total hours on the phone with straight talk, which is already a nightmare, and their conclusion is that the phone is ultimately not compatible with their service. I'm not 100% sure that's the case, but that's what they've told me, and I'm not arguing with them.
I messaged the seller politely the entire time, trying to explain that I would just like to reset the phone, send it back, and get a refund. I'd even pay for the return shipping and/or accept a partial refund because I know they'll be losing out on ebay fees. They just keep asking me to try different things I've already tried and take pictures of the issue (?) Which I'm not even sure how to do that?? They also only respond once a day which seems to me like they're just trying to drag it out until I give up or the time to file a claim with ebay runs out.
So I would like to just file a dispute with PayPal and go through that process. But I've never had to do that before in like a decade of having the account. What proof would I need to be able to show? My phone having no bars? The call logs with my service provider? Would I need to get back on the phone with straight talk and see if they can send me like an email saying it's not compatible? That would probably be another hour on the phone too.
The whole thing has been such a nightmare and I'm thinking about just trying to sell it locally and eat the loss ;( Also im sure someone will mention how awful straight talk is and that I should just switch but it's just not in my budget to do that yet or I would.
Does anyone with more experience know how likely it is that I actually have a chance here?
