Tyson Bagent

As a Bears fan, I always knew Bagent wasn't good. It amused me when Bill would talk him up. Bagent is worse than I even thought. Absolute disaster today.

Team OPS Leader

The last time someone led Cleveland in OPS with an OPS below .800 was 1990 (Brook Jacoby). Chase DeLauter is the only hope to get above .800 this year, and I'd bet a boatload of slider dogs that won't happen. Unreal levels of offensive futility.

Two Common Complaints That Are Easily Explained

I saw the movie for a 2nd time today, and I liked it more than the first viewing. One of the major complaints I see is that of the "dumb villain" trope that allows for easy escapes by the main characters. You have to have it in your mind that Margaret, Daniel, and Hugo are being shepherded by aliens while they're on the run. Those escapes aren't contrivances. That's happening because the aliens are guiding them and making it so. We see the presence of aliens at the farmhouse when we see the deer when Daniel and Jane arrive. Daniel and Margaret encounter a fox and I think that's another thing that conveys to us they're being guided/controlled. Also both of them say out loud at points that they don't know why they're doing what they're doing.

Another complaint is the CGI look of the animals. I think they're meant to look like animals out of a fairy tale, not real animals. The aliens probably thought fairy-tale looking animals might be more comforting, especially since we know that Margaret was a Hansel and Gretel fan as a child. The deer and fox they encounter as adults aren't supposed to look real. Neither is the cardinal.
