How do Worley Builders, Inc. quality compare to the other local builders at their price range ($400 - $600k)?

I have toured several of their homes built in 2025 and found one good and one bad on the same block. The good had a door to the attic where the hvac was and for a hot summer like this month in August 2026, the attic room was about 3 degrees less cool as the rest of the home. This homes attic had correctly installed baffles where the soffit vents were and the blow in insulation was installed correctly and did not block or clog the vents.

On the other hand, the badly built Worley home did not even run their AC and when I inspected their hot attic, I found incorrectly installed baffles ( some were even missing) and clogged soffits.

Has anyone owned a Worley home before? How is their reputation in town?

Would Jacksboro/Caryville have enough renter demand for an owner-occupied roommate setup?

Hi everyone,

My wife and I are considering buying a home in or around Jacksboro/Caryville/LaFollette because we really like some of the homes and the space you can get there compared to Knoxville.

The main thing we’re trying to figure out is whether there is a realistic renter or roommate pool in that area. We would be owner-occupying the home and renting out 2 to 3 rooms to help reduce the mortgage cost.

We’re not looking to run an Airbnb or anything like that. More like a clean, quiet, well-managed house with clear expectations, no shoes inside, shared chores, good internet, parking, and a respectful living environment.

For people who know the area:

Would there be enough demand from working professionals, students, healthcare workers, remote workers, or people commuting to Oak Ridge/Knoxville/Campbell County jobs?

Would Jacksboro/Caryville be too far out for most renters?

What would a reasonable monthly rent be for a clean furnished room with utilities included?

Are there any local issues I should know about before trying this?

We like the area, but we don’t want to buy assuming we can find roommates if the renter pool is actually very limited. Any honest local insight would be appreciated.

What is the Syracuse return address?

Their dumb website doesn't even list what is the Syracuse, NY return address is to send the return item back. They just want to make the process that much harder for their customers.
