Warning About Ally Redirect Page

Hi Everyone, for the last few days, I've noticed a second login page come up with Ally that looks very suspicious. I've attached a screenshot here. It's happening in Google Chrome but not in MS Edge. If you go to secure.ally.com, you'll see their Ally logo in the upper left corner. However, on the weird login page, the logo has a white frame around it. I just called Ally about this and they weren't aware of it, so I wanted to put the word out.

Equifax & Transunion still charging to see credit score

I see that Equifax has joined Transunion in charging people a fee to see their credit score. Outrageous. I saw that they were fined $25 million for doing this and had to pay restitution to customers - and yet it clearly shows they're still doing it. Is MyFico a good alternative, or using credit card services like with Discover to see your credit score?

Redirecting Login Page

Hi All, for the last few days I've noticed when logging into Ally, it's directing me to a second login page. This is when using Google Chrome. Are you seeing this too? It doesn't happen with MS Edge.

IMLS Grant Reviews

Hi All, we got a decline notification today for the IMLS 21st Century Museum Professionals Grant which we submitted in March. They only funded 20% of applicants.

I read the notes from the 3 reviewers, and they all pointed out just 2 areas of weakness in our narrative. However, we got one ‘2’ score which is ‘some merit’ and two ‘1’ scores which is ‘poor.’ It’s really shocking, especially since I’ve written two previous IMLS grants that were awarded.

I realize this grant had a special focus on professional development, but I’m pretty stunned that we scored so badly.

Steroid Resistant UC

Hi All, I've had UC since 1988 (yes, really). Over the years, I've taken different variations of Mesalamine (Dipentum, Pentasa, Asacol, etc.) and have done well, with 1-2 flare-ups per year. With a flare, I typically take a low dose of Prednisone for about a week until it calms down.

However, for about a year now, the Mesalamine seems not to be working as I've been having flare-ups every month. It's gotten to where I'm on Prednisone for about a week to 10 days (40 mg) and then my UC calms down, but then about 2 weeks off the Prednisone, it flares back up again. This is WITH taking the Mesalamine too. From online research, it sounds like my UC is steroid resistent - or more like dependent. Has this happened to anyone here?

My GI doctor now says I should try the biologic Skyrizi. I'm definitely willing to try it, but I'm concerned about the cost, and not even sure it'll work. Have any of you tried it?

Trying Biologics

Hi All, I’ve had UC for 38 years and now the Mesalamine just isn’t working anymore. My GI doctor is recommending Skyrizi. However, I’m really concerned about the cost. We have insurance but not sure how much will be covered. Has anyone here tried a biologic and has it worked?

When will life lighten up?

Hi all. First time posting here. Since July 2025, I've had a string of intense, hard, life stuff that is just un-ending and I'm so tired. Like I've joined a chain-gang for 12 months and I'm ready to quit. Is it just me that's experiencing this?

In a nutshell: my aunt passed away 7/4/25 (dad's sister) but I was asked to not go to her funeral for fear of upsetting my dad since he hadn't spoken to us for 25 years (yes, really). Then on 8/15/25 my dad passed away (at 90), but we weren't told of his funeral which was kept private. Then on 10/16/25 our dad's wife passed away from cancer (again, we weren't told). All this landed me in the hospital with heart pains. Then in November 2025, our vet said our dog Zoey had stage 3 kidney failure and she wouldn't have much time left (thankfully she's still with us but very frail). All through this, my husband's mom has been in a decline with dementia, so we've gone back and forth to L.A. to try and arrange help. Then in March 2026, his mom's brother who lived with them suddenly passed away. Now we're having significant relationship issues.

I'm utterly exhausted and depleated. Am I the only Capricorn going through Crazy Town right now? Tired.

Is anyone else battling fly infestations now?

Hi All. We're in the Glendale/Arrowhead area, and for the last week we've seen tons of houseflies in our house. It's awful!! I've read it's because of the early high temperatures. Are any of you experiencing this too, and if so, do you have any remedies??
