Victor of the 1st Hunger Games.
Age: 10
Appearance: Brown hair, pale skin, chubbier cheeks with a natural pale blush. Grey eyes.
District: 7
Status: Orphan. Works as a Bobbin Boy and a messenger for his district before getting reaped.
Personality: Quieter, shy, unsettling curiosity with the world and tends to ask deep questions at the most random time. Perceptive. But also gets distracted at times. Though he was unusually cheerful for the time they were in.
Extended family: Uncle Dion (from his father’s side) and Aunt Marcella who are both 24.
Story: Astyanax was born before the revolution in district 7. His mother and father had him at ages 16 and 17. But when Astyanax was 2 both of his parents died from sickness. Thus making him being taken care of by the elders of his district ranging from 50-70. He does have an uncle and aunt but Astyanax doesn’t see them as much as he would prefer since their always busy working. But even when Dion does see him, he’s very weary of the boy since his brother had him at a young age. Astyanax worked with other kids during the rebellion making weapons and supplies. They weren’t on the front lines ever. However after the capitol came to victory, it would begin the first ever reaping from all the districts. And Astyanax would be reaped with a 14 year old girl named Daisy Root. A stubborn loud mouthed girl.
After Astyanax won the games. The capitol gave him some money and just plopped him back into his district. His aunt got uncle Dion to have the boy come live with them. Marcella took off work to help the boy while Dion worked since the elders wouldn’t know how to deal with a boy this broken. Astyanax would constantly be haunted with nightmares of the tributes and games. Especially Daisy. The other kids working still talked to Astyanax but were weary of him, wondering if he was still in the right mind. Everyone treated him as he were a ghost but a porcelain one. People gave him attention but never tried to push him too much. He started to hear voices and had constant hallucinations. Aunt Marcella tried to help in any way she could and it did help, sort of. A world he was curious about was completely crushed the day he stepped foot in the arena. He became timid and felt stuck. As he grew, some strands of his hair turned white. Never fully white but it was there. He developed Marie Antoinette syndrome. And at the age of 19, all the stress and built up anguish would weaken his heart strings, developing Broken Heart syndrome and it took his life before the 10th games.
