Praying for a partner who’d do Odysseus with me 😔
What it is and why ? I am curious to know! For me it's I can't help but wonder because I cannot sing it without crying! Also I am talking about epic songs !
In Ruthlessness, Poseidon says ‘43 left under your command’. But then, only a saga away, his men say ‘558 men who’ve died’.
My personal belief is that, before leaving for the underworld, one of his men wanted to sleep with Circe, who promptly killed him.
The Irony that I forgot him is not lost on me
One of Ares' animal symbols is a vulture, so I based his design around the kind of Vultures with featherless heads.
His whole body is littered with battle scars, but he only wears a helmet, not to protect his head though, he's just really shy.
Been doing nail art for a couple of months now and decided to take a shot at painting the album covers for EPIC the musical. Took a couple days to paint these on my nails but I love how they came out!
(Posted a video to my TT⏰ with some of the painting process if anyone's interested)
EDIT: OMG! Thank you all so much for all the upvotes and kind words, and my first ever award! 🥺💕 I'm so glad that so many people like my art. I'm truly touched, especially considering that my video I posted to my tiktok kinda flopped and I was feeling disheartened.
Side one: "I blame Odysseus!"
Side two: "I blame Eurylochus!"
The ones who think they're thinking outside the box/side three: "I blame the birds!"
Side four/those who blame someone else/me: "I blame Aphordite!"
Explanation: Aphordite started the Trojan war. She, Athena, and Hera were competing for a golden apple inscribed with the words "for the fairest." The Trojan prince Paris had it. Aphordite bribed Paris to give it to her instead of the other gods by promising to give him the most beautiful mortal woman alive as his wife, Helen of Sparta /who is, fun fact, Penelope's cousin/. That prompted king Menelaus to start the war.
The Oath of Tyndareus is why all of the Greek kings had to go fight, including Odysseus. Before Helan married, she had dozens of suitors, very powerful men. Her stepfather, King Tyndareus of Sparta, feared choosing just one would cause a civil war. Odysseus, to prevent this, came up with a solution. Before the winner was announced, every man had to swear a sacred oath to defend the husband /Menelaus/ and fight any man who took Helen away.
King Tyndareus also after that helped Odysseus secure marriage with Penelope for his clever thinking.
So yes, Aphordite is the cause of everything in Epic. But what side are yall on?
Hello everyone! I just wanted to show y'all my freshly posted animatic! I tried to make something diferent as there are SO MANY great animatics with this song already so:
it is full color
includes references to greek art (my signature)
aaaand has cool, new, historically mycean inspired character designs!
So yeah - if you wanna have a look, here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeBlace50t0
So just to make sure.... none of this would've happened if 1. Ody would've killed the cyclops or 2. Not said his name and left it as nobody.
Yeah they might've had the issue with the bag being open but there wouldn't have been a poseidon. Am I right? So who do I be upset with. Ody or Eurylochus? Lol
My brother said he’d listen to Epic if I watched The Odyssey, so I wanted to put a compilation together of all the best animatics for him since he prefers visuals. I know there’s a few on YouTube but I wanted to make my own, so I was wondering which ones are everyone’s favourites?
I'm going to be reading the Odyssey in class and our teacher urges us to check out books about the Trojan War and stuff related to The Odyssey and whatnot. Any good book recommendations with good vocabulary?
I know she uses a technique called vocal dostortion and she add those growls to some words when she sings the drown in your sorrows and fears. I tried to copy the videos but I end up sounding like a goose who is choking or smth. Do you have any tips that I can maybe try out?
