[Hiring] [Budget:$50-negotiable] looking for someone with experience doing 40k fanart

What I'm looking for: 2, 1 character portraits for some Chaos sororitas characters (pictured here the canoness (middle) and sorceress (right)) these are for a TTRPG game I'll be running and would like to have some art for these characters. I'd also like for the art to try and give them a more chaosy feel to them. (They follow "The Triumvirate" (Tzeentch, Khorne, and Slaanesh) while waging total war against entropy and decay (Nurgle)) I'd like to be sent updates throughout the process so any fixes can be made early on.

I'm also not too happy with the color scheme I went with with the models so I'm open to some experimentation from the artist there.

When I need it: Monday before 8pm est.

Who I'll consider: someone with a portfolio that shows they've done 40k Art before and can meet the vibe I'm going for, to be considered you will need to send me a very rough sketch of how you'll plan on structuring the piece.

Who i will not consider: anyone who uses genAI in their process, people who do not comment and instead DM me.

The budget: in starting with a floor of $50 for this commission, but am willing to negotiate to a higher price so long as it is fair.

Payment: I will be using PayPal, you will be paid half after the initial sketch is sent, and half once the work is completed.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Reign 2nd edition, laws and technological advancement

Do any of the 2nd edition supplements for Reign provide support for passing laws mechanically and their effects, as well as technological advancement of primitive societies to more complex ones?

How do Inceptors play into new bloodline disciplines?

Let's take the 3 kinds of salubri for example, with the 3 kinds of valeren. Did Saulot himself create them all, including the different valeren branches, did he embrace some caitiff with the new bloodline and inceptor merits who created them themselves, or were caitiff bloodline founders spawned unintentionally but then legitimized as equivalent bloodlines in the clan as a happy accident?

Could Arikel just embrace someone and be like hey your presence only has fear based powers now, my new Spookiador spawn? At will at, any point in time?

Could Tzimisce do the same and decide vicissitude really needs a cousin that affects nonliving matter?

Or were all the legitimized bloodlines just happy accidents that proved useful??

What would modern magi look like if to the modern nights the Tremere were somehow never discovered to be Vampires by the rest of the Order?

Whether it's by truly remaining hidden, and disappearing anyone who found out, successfully making the rest of the Order of Hermes into blood familiars, etc.

Somehow the Tremere were never outed to the rest of Magekind. Or maybe it became one of those open secrets that the Order of Hermes just doesn't acknowledge because it would shatter them.

How do you imagine the order would look like by the modern nights?

Personally I imagine (if it's an open secret)

  1. Each Hermetic chantry is led by a Tremere Domina or Dominus. With the most loyal members of the chantry being her blood familiars, and treated lavishly. Their jobs being to keep the non bonded mages in line. Every now and then a Domina or Dominus might go "missing" but they are always replaced by an even more iron-fisted one so few bother with coups anymore.

  2. The order becomes even more secretive with other traditions, with the inner workings of the order becoming even more opaque. If the other traditions find out it would make the OG Massassa War Look Like a reenactment in comparison. As it would be most if not all traditions against the Order of Hermes.

  3. The Technique of having Blood Familiars would likely be refined as to reduce any ill effects of it, and increase any benefits the Vamp gains.

  4. Clan Tremere goes from being a major force in the camarilla to being the hegemons of the sect.

  5. Saulot be salivating.

If it's truly hidden:

  1. House Tremere becomes extremely reclusive.

  2. Clan Tremere probably doesn't play too open a role in either Vamp or Mage politics, at least not openly so. Any gains would be done via proxies and shell organizations.

  3. Saulot be salivating (less so).

Thoughts?

V20: Methuselahs Thirst, what's the best portrayal you've seen from a player with it?

How did it affect the actual roleplay, why did they go with that one, etc, etc?

The last time I put it in my character they got instagibbed and I wasn't able to actually explore it as a player.

So far as an ST I have yet to have a player choose it as a flaw in CC.

V6 Dualist humanity system.

So to start I am a V20 and prior lover, I love those editions though they do have their faults.

V6 is weird,

it has a lot of cool changes

It also has a lot of bad changes (such as merging protean and animalism, and replacing serpentis with corruption which just isn't as cool (VDA20 serpentis my love))

However I actually kinda like the new dualist humanity system? I feel like it could actually be an interesting change to the game system. I like that your human nature and beast nature provide different bonuses and penalties. I do feel like the system needs more dots as it feels pretty easy to lose a character one way or another.

I might prefer the new humanity system if and only if it's able to handle paths of enlightenment well. Which I'm not sure if it will be able to?

What do y'all think about the dualist system?

Any other wishes for the new system in other parts? (Mine is that they bring back the discipline creation rules like what we had in time of Thin-blood)

If I wanted an TTRPG similar to crusader kings or EU4 what would the top ones be?

Specifically looking for a TTRPG where I could set out a blank map, give the players access to a couple fantasy races to choose from, and they could create different kingdoms and polities of different kinds, and have them evolve throughout the timeline.

It could be a game where the country is your character or one where you're playing the rulers of said fictional countries and shaping it for future generations, etc.

It would also be nice if they had good FoundryVTT support too!

Any suggestions?

Double Character Chronicle, art commission

Art is per usual by u/oyoo_13

If anything looks familiar you're not wrong, blame the Reddit AI freaking out about spider art and locking but not banning the old account.

Character 1,

Samantha Scalespierre

Clan Toreador.

Generation 10 (9 now)

Camarilla

Neonate.

In her mortal life she grew up as a cultist within the Temple of Set, she would've been embraced into the clan as well if her sire did not have the desire to spite the great Temple.

So far in the chronicle she and her coterie have rescued the Prince of NYC from the Dreaming, where Samantha discovered that the Fae adore her but can't stand the others in her coterie (Faerie Affinity). Apparently Baba Yaga has taken her retirement in the dreaming which royally scared the Nossie in the Coterie, but she ended up being quite helpful in rescuing the prince to the surprise of everyone OOC. In the prior session Samantha regained her membership in the Temple, and celebrated by Diablerizing some Gangrel alt girl that was with the local anarchs! She did so by pretending to be a silly kine who got drugged at a bar and needed to be taken home. (Thanks to master of the masquerade, blush of health, and deceptive aura this was rather simple)

Character 2 (was posted here before)

Svana

Clan Tremere

Generation 10

Anarch

Neonate

Svana is a mage blooded Tremere who can only use thaumaturgy, and no other disciplines. To counteract this she was granted the Path of Arcane Mastery in order to create new paths through study and trial during the course of the session. Currently is a co-owner of the anarch nightclub Glitters. Apparently there's a Tzimisce blood cult set up below the club ...............
