A-line train needs a reboot
This was going on while my train was sitting stopped at Chinatown for about 20 minutes. Now we’re stopped midair on the tracks approaching Union. Not sure if it’s related but it doesn’t inspire confidence

My mother and father were working photographers. My father passed a month ago and left me their lives’ works. (My mother passed in 2023). I have about 3-5 boxes of this many negatives. What’s the best balance of getting this stuff digitized economically without losing quality? I’m assuming that having a lab do it will cost a metric fuckton of money.
The battery on my 2024 Honda Super Cub C125 is dead because I went outta town for a month when my father passed away. Honda decided to make a bike where the battery is impossible to access without tools I don’t have, so I gotta take it to a shop. Anyone recommend a shop on the west side who’ll do this reasonably? I feel like if we can get the bike jump started I can probably putt around on it for an hour and she’ll be just fine. Or if someone wants to make a couple bucks coming by my place to do this, that’d be just fine.
Someone’s been nice enough to hook me up with a rusty, but running, driving, steering, and stopping 2008 Silverado 1500 with the 4.3L v6. Truck is 2wd, regular cab, shortbed.
It’s $500. Of course I’m fucking buying it. Any vehicle you can drive that has a title is worth at least that much.
I’m gonna drive it a good distance and keep it a while. Anything I ought to be aware of with these? Most of my GM experience is with square bodies so this is all new to me.
