What broke your constant migraines & headaches?

What broke your constant 24/7 migraines and headaches?

Used to have headaches all the time and migraines every once in a blue moon then got a concussion (fell off a bike on campus however I didn’t properly rest affer(, constant mild headaches then a whiplash from dancing, constant strong headaches and second concussion (assault where I got punched in the face by an intoxicated individual( migraines and a second whiplash from a car accident . I have constant headaches and migraines it’s gotten better to a 4&5/10 migraine & headache in the morning but it’s just 24/7 w the nausea. Have prism glasses and Fl-41 from some vision therapy, did some functional neurology, did Botox 6 times but no rlly working, did ajovy twice (monthly) which helped bring it down to a 6/10 most days or a 4-5/10 occasional days. My abortive is ubrevly and nurtec doesn’t rlly take it away as much as ubrevly sadly. Really need hope & help as I am going back to uni next Jan. Also will be taking time off to my home country (Korea) where acupuncture is cheaper as that helped overall a little bit with relaxing. Also after my most recent accident I started waking up every single night since December and did a sleep study so waiting on results, also hormones are very irregular (I’m a female) which doesn’t help. Also developed POTS (dysautonomia) /after the most recent accident. Really need some advice& help and would love to hear experience for this with constant migraines and headaches as I miss being a uni student as my life has been taken away the past two years.

How to overcome a setback

Hi everyone,
I have two concussions and two whiplash accidents and have been taking everything seriously since February/March and made a lot of progress to tolerating computer time (1-2hour) and going on 2 (20 minute ish walks).
However I went to do a sleep study and obviously couldn’t sleep then got stressed about something so I was in the worst head pain ever felt like throwing all day and today was still a 10/10 now a 6/10 migraine /headache after two ubrevly pills.
Today I’ve just been inside. Tomorrow I have Watson physio so hopefully that would help and have my Ajovy shot (second) on the 17th of May.
What helped you overcome a setback? I’m scared this would undo my progress.

How do you deal with the anxiety of doing/trying things?

In recovery here (taking time off uni until next Jan) as due to two concussions and two whiplash accidents having a 24/7 migraine/headache. I’ve gotten over the worst part where I couldn’t even walk a block but I still get symptoms with doing things since I’m already at like a 6-8/10 on baseline. I know exposing myself has gotten me better, but since I’m worse than my first two concussions it’s been hard overcoming the mentality of things due to fear. What helps you and how did you get through with exposing yourself?

Everytime I go in the car my migraines amplify and I get so car sick:(( I have metoclopramide for nausea and I take ginger on top of that since I’m nauseous in general.

What helped you with nausea/motion sickness post concussion and chronic migraines?

How did ubrevly work for you? Nurtec doesn’t work for me, only lessens the pain but I have severe 24/7 migraines from waking, maybeeee also compounded from the fact tha Dec I started waking up with migraines and starting to wake up during the night and my neurologist said sleep disruption can cause migraines… due to Amitryptaline and dry mouth but I’m dosing off of it now that I just got ajovy last week however neuro also said it takes 3-6 times for it to work (monthly injection ).

Also sad at the fact at in BC, Canada neither nurtec or ubrevly is covered so it’s $400 a month… I’m a uni student currently on medical leave but it’s a lot for my parents too hopefully the ajovy helps a lot
