I’m looking at a used amg benz and this is how the breaks look. The sales guy said it’s normal and passed inspection my friend who’s a car guy kinda said this looks weird. Can someone enlighten me.
I’m finally in a position where I can get a car. Before insurance was to high now it’s manageable. Insurance is 6,000 on each.
The 14 is a classic body style and a dream of mine for awhile. V8 growl is like a lion. Looks like a mob boss car and the resale on these is actually pretty good. The cons are outdated interior no ambient lighting and also the age. But mileage is low. About 60,000km . Gas is also high so there’s that. I’m currently in a truck so used to paying a lot for fuel. $45,000 or 32,900 USD and 31,000 miles.
440i. Crazy fast little thing. Coupes are beautiful. Decent on fuel. Sounds nice too. A lot of after market options. I could replace that front kidney grill easily to make it sexier. Decent tech.
Cons it’s a coupe. Even the GC is tight on space. I’ve had 2 cars in my whole life so I buy to keep for awhile. BMW resale is booty. $47,000 or 34,000 USD 75,000km n 44,600 miles.
540i. God darn the nicest interior I’ve ever been in. White leather interior beautiful screen with actual buttons instead of the whole iPad screen modern vehicles have. Back space is amazing n drives like butter on the roads. Cons is it’s super quiet. I was surprised it’s the same engine as the 4 series. Can’t hear nothing. 48,000 or 35,000 USD. 75,000 km or 44,600 miles.
I value reliability. I value fuel economy to a certain extent. I’m used to trucks so L/100km for me a good average is 12 L/100. Resale is somewhat important to. I would take a loan for 4-5 years on any one of these so last thing I want is me to be on year 2 and completely upside down on this. I also value looks I do want to be seen in that thing and have ppl think damn that’s sexy. After all if it was just a reliability thing I’d get a Honda. I like options. I love the noise of the engine. If the 540i sounded like that 440 I think that would’ve been an easy decision.
I would also do work on the vehicle. I wouldn’t do anything related to tuning or whatever but I know I’m going to wrap it add spoiler diffuser etc. tints. Basic stuff. With BMW I feel like the options are endless but with the Benz it’s limited. Even color wise. I think that 212 body style only looks good in black white silver but in a bmw I can slap orange candy paint on it and it would look crazy.
