I need help repairing my girlfriend's crochet blanket that has extreme wear to it and is unraveling/unraveled.

I want to do something special for my girlfriend, this is her baby blanket in the photos. I took it upon myself to untangle all of the knots and bought some yarn so I can hopefully repair it. I want to hopefully use some of the original yarn material to repair it with the new yarn, even if I have to cut it out. I need help because I've never taken on a project so big before and im not even sure where to start repairing it. If anyone could refer me to videos or instructions or anything I would appreciate it so much. She really values this blanket as its been with her for her entire life, and I want it to last longer.

Anything would be helpful, I dont really know what to do at all right now besides untangle it which is not problem for me at all and is honestly kinda fun to do

Im not completely sure if its a crochet blanket, but regardless I was to repair it with crochet because I dont know how to knit or any of that.

(I would appreciate if you could be very specific if possible because I take things very literally as a neurodivergent person and might misunderstand any vague instructions but if not that's alright too)

Edit: there seems to be some confusion and that might be on me. I asked her before I even touched her blanket because I know how special it is and would never do that without enthusiastic permission.

  1. I fully intend to acquire new skills, put hours and hours into this, and do so much research before I attempt repair.

  2. I appreciate all of the constructive and helpful advice it means so much to both of us

  3. I am not unraveling the blanket ! 😭 im gonna put a lifeline in so I dont accidently unravel it more though. Its only this one end that's unraveling, Im gonna post another photo below in a bit of the full blanket that I should've put in the original post

  4. I didn't mean to come off ignorantly and assume the blanket was crochet, I figured it was knit and was just trying to be hopeful. I cant edit the title but I didn't mean to call it a crochet blanket 🥲 I meant im trying to fix it with crochet but even now after reading all the advice im going to acquire some knitting skills as well. I apologize for the confusion and inaccuracies

Hi, I went to PP yesterday (in CA) and took the first med that blocks progesterone at 10:30am, it's currently 8:30am and I'm honestly pretty scared because i have to take the second one in a few hours and I also have work at 10.

Im scared of the bleeding and cramping and any other potential side effects.

Im 19 for reference, I got pregnant on birth control, and I obviously am not in a place where I can have a child.

I need advice, or comfort, or anything. Im not sure how to explain this situation to my work without divulging medical details. I told them I had a minor procedure and I might have side effects from the medication, like vomiting. They're very understanding but honestly looked confused when I said that.

I dont even have pads yet I dont know what i should get.

Im scared
