First Demo Reel - Thoughts?

After a lot of takes (and a few drinks, lol) I gathered the courage to do this. I'm primarily an author, but I've been wanting to break into voice work for a long time. I think my range is average, but I hope it at least sounds good.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

What makes you want to comment on a video?

What makes you want to comment on a video?

I've always been relatively satisfied with my views and subscribers. I'm not looking to make money or get famous, I already have a decent job that pays the bills. Overall I'm...okay where i am.

But dear God, the engagement is shit. Either I'm more boring than I thought, or the audience I'm reaching has the attention span of a mailbox.

I've recently shifted from music for personal reasons, and started doing father-daughter gameplay vids, story/video essays, and a few skits. Stuff that's TAILORED TO generate some interaction, but... nothing.

7 year old daughter commenting on Jarl Balgruuf flipping the player off because of a glitch in Skyrim? Nope.

Poking fun at people who plug obnoxious sound effects (FAAAAAAAH!!!! for example) to generate views? Nada.

Retelling a story about a fat woman, her baby daddy, and 3 kids stealing a mobility scooter away from a veteran with one leg at Walmart? No comment.

So, what makes people WANT to comment? I'm happy with what views I get. I just wish I could get some people to actually talk about it.
