Surfsce mount led channel for ceiling

I’d like to install a rectangle of led on my garden room ceiling. It will be surface mount channel and I’d like to have it dimmable on a mains dimmer. I will have a dedicated lighting way on the consumer unit to feed a light switch dimmer and a dimmable driver + cob led strip in channel.

The dimmer light switch will be to the right of the door with surface mount conduit to the consumer unit and a feed to the led driver.

Any tips on what to buy, look for, installation advice (I’m getting a sparky for the mains side of it) and generally anything I may not have thought about?

Would a diffuser be sufficient on the Alumiium channel or will it be like staring into the sun?

Managing vpn certificates

Hello,

I am looking to convert all vpn tunnels to use certificates for authentication.

Is there a good way to manage the enrollment, distribution and renewal of certificates with fortimanager.

I do not have fortiauthenticator but do have internal PKI.

Also exploring the options of using external pki as this seems to preferred in some of the recent NCSC publications.

I have approx 200 sites to do so I’m keen to hear if anyone else is managing vpn certificates at scale.

PVC conduit surface mount advice

I’m building a garden room and decided I want surface mounted pvc conduit for aesthetic reasons.

I will run separate conduit for lighting radial and socket ring.

What is the correct way to proceed when I need the pvc runs to cross over?

e.g if the runs are parallel along a wall from the consumer unit, with lighting conduit above and socket conduit below. I need to drop the lighting conduit down to a switch… should I use a junction box to allow my lighting cabling to cross over the ring main?

Is this an acceptable way to achieve this? I am hoping to run the conduit, cables, pattress boxes myself before getting a qualified spark to terminate and test.

Apologies if my description is p*ss poor!
