Season 3 was the peak of the show for me so I would say that. Definitely not season 5. I would rank it like:

The finale overall did feel rushed and they could have done and executed things better. Homelanders death definitely was satisfying but the whole fight in the Oval Office could and should have been way longer.
They missed out on the opportunity to make Homelander just go insane and lose it and I think that was what everyone was expecting and waiting for. It was a bit underwhelming when he just killed a few people.
Homelanders powers - His powers are very inconsistent since before he could catch up to A-train, was faster than a C4 bomb, yet wasn’t faster than Butchers tentacles? That is very dumb and doesn’t make any sense.
Butchers death was very rushed, I want to hear your thoughts but I felt it was too rushed.
